^ That's not a bad price if it really does take an hour an a half to install because it would come out to be around $135. That's still cheaper than the muffler guys or what the dealerships will quote you.

I am having think it is pretty good and have my thoughts of them doing it for 1.5 hours....this greddy exhaust is pretty straight forward to install right? just bolt on no welding base on my reading.

install depends on how old your car is because some of the bolts might be rusted up and may require an impact gun... when I installed (did it myself)... my car had something like 6k miles so the bolts were brand new never exposed to the elements...

although I wouldn't pay more than $75 for install...

Do it yourself. So what if the bolts are a little rusty. Twist, turn, push, pull, and kick that bolt till it pops out.

It's all bolts and hangers. No Welding. Pretty straight forward stuff.
Just make sure you have a friend because you need someone to hold the new exhaust while you struggle to put in on. I mean it is strenuous, but it's not overly difficult.

if the bolts are rusted use penetrating oil or wd-40 and buy a $15 breaker bar.

good advice. penetrating oil works wonders. spray it on and let it sit for a little. Then let the breaker bar do all the work. The effort will be cut by more than 1/2 when switching from a socket wrench to a breaker bar to remove tough nuts/bolts.

I think the Hks might be a meaner sound but will see after Monday. No turning back now Lol. I just hope the drone isn't as bad that's all. The silencers are about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch to small. I think they would fit the HKS but I'm not sure how they go in. They might be to short.

Any chance of Greddy doing this same Group Buy again? I'm sure there would be just as many buyers since it is warm outside again...and I am one of them!

Ok put my Aero 25 resonator in today along with my atlp j-pipe and man does this exhaust finally sound good!!! The resonator/j-pipe combo took 75% of the cabin drone out and retained all the good sounds (giving it the gas/start-up). I say the combo since I didn't have a chance to run it with just one or the other in. I should have done this when I first got the exhaust! My co-worker said the car sounds the same on the outside, just the inside is a nice ride. You can hear the exhaust without drowning in the drone!

Funny how in the beginning so many people wanted more power and said no resonator, but ended up putting resonators on . Personally, I don't have a problem with the drone...maybe that's because I rarely have it (even with daily highway driving). But, to each his own, though, so enjoy your new parts...a-pipe will be installed after it shows up tomorrow .

The drone didn't bother me for my own driving, but I take clients and co-workers out often and I didn't want to make my car come off that way! If I used my car strictly for personal use I would have kept it as is, but I don't care what anyone wants to say about the drone it was not acceptable for a 15 minute drive to a business meeting. To each their own, but you can't honestly say that if you worked a suit-n-tie job, take out clients between 30 to 70, they won't have a bad impression of you for having the loud exhaust. I'm already looked upon as being too young to have the position I have already and I don't not to give them anymore excuses. I'm not complaining as I wanted more power, but now I want it to sound like I drive a powerful sports sedan.

Now the exhaust sounds great when its supposed to sound great, not the in-between times!

I guess it depends on the person/your outlook. I truly don't care what people think. Even if I was in your situation, I would still do what I wanted to do. But if you're happy with what you've got, then that's all that matters.

Best bet would be to find a Greddy dealer and see if they will do a group buy.

You can't lose with either. They have similar performance gains, but the ATLP has a deeper sound throughout the RPM band. It basically comes down to aesthetics. Do you want the "quad" looks, or the "huge tailpipe" looks?
