This is the OFFICIAL GROUP BUY for the GReddy EVO II Catback Exhaust system for the 2004+ Acura TL (Type-S not included).

*This system will be offered to Acurazine Members first with a special introductory offer pricing.

*After the group buy offer ends on 8/31/2007, the system will be released to the general public through GReddy Authrized Dealers.

Acurazine members voted for the larger piping with a gain of 8-10 whp. There is a slight drone under 3k rpm, but members voted and you mostly said you wanted the horsepower and wouldn’t mind the slightly louder exhaust note. The other option of smaller piping would have decreased the drone, but also decreased whp by 5. If this doesn’t sound like what you wanted, speak now, or forever hold your peace!


Video Disclaimer: The video of the dyno is the only sound/video file we have at the moment. It was done in 4th gear at Wide Open Throttle. Take with a sony digicam, so sorry for the poor quality. Listen to it with good speakers, otherwise it will sound horrible.

Forgot to mention, the pictures show the prototype will all raw welds. The production model will have full polished stainless steel mandrel bent piping!

When is the rest due? Also, any dyno numbers available? I know you mentioned 8 - 10 hp but I thought on the thread it was 10+. GREAT pricing by the way...thanks!

Oops...I sent $350...you can just send the extra $50 back if it's easier to keep track.

I believe the rest of the payment will be due when the shipment arrives. I will get with Kenji to find out. We can't release our dyno graph yet, but we will definitely do it when the production model comes out. The peak horsepower is about 8-10 whp, with positive gains over stock across the ENTIRE tested rpm range (i think it was 3000rpm in 4th gear to redline).

I just want to confirm that there is no resonator in this system. And it should bolt up correctly to an E-shift pro cat?

Yeah, if you look at the fifth picture down it shows where the piping meets the cat, which is at it's stock position. There should be no reason why the E-shift cat wouldn't match up and if not I'm sure any shop wouldn't have a problem welding the cat in place.

Greddy, is there any chance we can get more sound clips of this system. In the car static, while it's moving, etc. Some of the clips on Youtube sound great, while some of the others make the cars terribly raspy.

I'm wondering this as well. Also is the $661 including shipping?

Mods for the TL have been on hold for over a year and a half, and were (supposed) to be for at least another two...but an exhaust was something on my list, and this is too good of a deal. In a couple of years, used ones won't be selling for much below this price...for a few bucks more than I'd spend then, I get it two years sooner, and for a lot less than what it would cost me new then, as well.
