Nope but I'm going to make one once the lip arrives. Should be easy to do - if not do what someone else did - shave off the 5 plastic studs/clips and only drill two holes for the screw mounts.
No template - no problem.

I'm concerned about drilling the holes, even if it's just two, as the holes will rust. I live in South Florida, where there is plenty of rain. What are all of your thoughts?

That's how I felt too - will see what I can come up with once it arrives. Seriously tho I don't think it's that hard to do.

Here's a few pics guys. This looks really easy...........guess what???
ALL FIVE PLASTIC STUDS CAN BE REMOVED.
If you decide to remove the five plastic studs you can still mount this by only drilling 2 holes. I haven't decided how or when I'm going to finally do my install but I plan on removing the 5 studs so I can make a template easier.
Once I have the template down and can work on the install I'll come back to update with some DIY if ayone wants it.
The only two things you can not remove on this are the two screws - but you can move them side to side about an inch which should help when drilling the two holes.
If you have any questions about the lip or the parts that come with it PM me and I will try to help.
Well worth the $104.00 investment !!!!

Two bolts can also be removed.
Hey Guys,
Installed my '07 TL-S spoiler last night on my '05 TL.
All plastic and the two metal bolts can be removed and it installs very nicely with the super strength 3m double sidded moulding tape that can be purchased at most auto parts stores.
Get the thin tape, it deos not need to be cut thinner to use.
Simply remove the foam and rubber that are on the leading and trailing edges adn replace with double sidded tape duplicating what you removed and carefully align, pre-fitting to know where to place it and the install is better than factory.
Wonderful.

ooops - duh - just turn it comes right out too............. damn now this is going to be even easier than I thought.....
Nice catch Land !
I'd certainly feel better with bolting it on tho - even if it's only two bolts. That thing has a little weight to it and I'd hate to find it gone (theft) someday.

I went out to my local dealer to order a Type-S Lip ($147.00 in MN). They dont have them in Abyss Blue for my 2004 . I am on my own for having it painted is. Is this worth looking into???
Or shall I go with the older more $$$ one? They quoted me $599.00 installed for the 2004 deck lid...WTF thats more than my monthly payment. I am only gonna to do this If I can do it for under $400.00 installed.
Thanks for your feedback

I wouldn't pay $599.00 for a spoiler - that's why I went with the TL-S one....... can't beat it for $100.00 or in your case $147.00. I you decide to get one try AOE because they are less expensive on this, I think it came to $126.00 with shipping.
Step 1 (If I was in this situation) check a couple of body shops or even the local Acura dealer and find out how much they would chanrge you to paint the spolier Abyss Blue.
Once you know what it will cost to paint it then you can really weigh your options....

Ok so I'm not good as this pic posting thing - they are in the wrong order so follow along if you can.
To make the template:
1 - First I took off all the screws and posts in order to make the bottom of the lip as flat as possible.
2 - Next take a piece of tissue paper and wrap the bottom of the lip in tissue -
a couple pieces of tape here and there helped so it wouldn't move.
3 - Then take a crayon and rub the crayon over the tissue making a relief pattern around the edge of the lip and most importantly the holes which you will need to drill.
4 - Tape the tissue copy to the top of the box that your lip was shipped in and cut it out around the edges carefully.
5 - I used a razor to the cut out the portions of the lip which represented the screw and posts positions. Note which end of the cutout - the large end is NOT the end which gets drilled. That large end is the entry point of the screw or posts - the smaller side is where the screws and posts end up once you slide them back in. This little side is where you will drill so be mindful of that when drilling into your trunk.
6 - Finally I did a test fit to ensure my cutouts were in the right position and made some marks on the cardboard so I would know where to drill.
I'm doing my install Saturday - hopefully - and will post some pics when I'm done.
I hope somebody besides me finds this helpful - I'm really anal about my new TL. The thought of drilling in the wrong spot freaks me out. At least I have some guidance now with the template.

My First Mods......TLS Tails, Sides and TLS Soiler...
Guys I did my first real mods today. Installed my TL-S Side Markers (Rear), TL-S Tail lights and my TL-S Spolier......Man o man it was a busy hectic day but I had fun and I am totally thrilled by the way it changed the rear end.
I also popped in some PIAA lHyper whites for the plate and backup lights. Let me know what you think - I had a blast today and as so thrilled I found this forum.

I drilled only 2 holes for the bolts - little 3M tape and that was it. Of course it took me hours - had to measure and re- measure to make sure the template matched up perfectly.

If their is enough good surface/contact area for additional 3M, I will make it happen. It's all in the prep.
PS - Looks good Steve
