Hey hos, I gots a quick question-
I ended up buying a remanufactured starter, however, I noticed there is a rubber gasket On the side of the starter housing (the bigger cylinder one) that covers the negative terminal cable, and it's kind of shitty fitting. I'm worried water will get in the starter itself. Stupid question- will that fuck something up if water gets in? If so, I'll return it and buy an OEM starter. Didn't think it was worth dropping the extra $175 on something that is easily removed and replaced, but if this one is risking shitting the bed on me early, I might as well get one that I know will last. I do wash my engine bay a half dozen times a year- the last thing I want is to get stranded or short the starter or some shit. Thoughts?

I'd rather pair it with some good 'ole Mexican tap water so that 30 minutes later it'll look like i'm riding a gold comet.
