Just bad experiences with the ex and her kids, I guess...disney on ice and then having to stand in line with screaming kids in the humid hot summer air. I remember thinking this is what hell is like. I won't make her pay for that though...I'm just being dramatic.
I don't care, man...I want her to be whatever she wants to be, I'm not gonna do what my Father does and only be interested if my interests intersect with his. I want to learn about things from her and the things she likes too. I was never an overbearing brother and won't be an overbearing father. She will have what she needs in the form of a good head on her shoulders by the time anyone would be a problem and then she can just point at who hurts her and I can hurt them. Easy!

I must say I love having the Corolla around, small parking spot, fuck it I'll fit. Ground is wet, haha let's try to have fun. Best parking spot next to a big ass truck, no biggie.
I don't haul the kids around in the Corolla only the Explorer. Thinking about getting some Vossens for the Explorer for my birthday.

I haven't took the new ILX on a spin, may have to do that. Pretty sure I'd still get a TLX over the ILX just because POWWWAh purposes.

Well, yes, no doubt...but the ILX is a nice lookin ride and probably similar in lease/finance to the Accord but staying with the Luxury brand you've grown accustomed to.
I'd keep your eyes peeled on a damned 6MT TL-S...I saw a stock CBP one on the highway today and fuck if it doesn't still look like a relevant car for very little money. And fuck getting another car your wife can drive. It's YOU time this time...keep the corolla for times where for SOME reason she gotta go buy milk and you have the Explorer at homedepot buying sod. Insurance should be like 100 bucks every 6 months as a 3rd car anyway.

I don't know if it's the new lease the TL got on life for not going 
on me last Friday...but I'm enjoying and loving and not wanting another car more than ever right now. She's driving silky smooth, not fucking leaking anything...can't wait to get these new 235's on there to make a smoother ride either.

Don't ever lease a car. That's financially retarded. You're literally just reimbursing the dealer for driving the value out of the car, except you pay much more than the value that's lost. You have limited mileage, and when it's over you have nothing to show for it. And no modding.

LA traffic definitely sucks. LA is sort of a misnomer though, there's so much shit and its huge. What do you think of when someone says LA? The county encompasses A LOT: Venice beach, Santa Monica, Hollywood, all the to the border of Pomona and shit is still LA. There's the west side where UCLA and shit is, lots of good food but a bitch to get to in traffic if you don't live there. Downtown LA is fun but parking is atrocious. My parents live about 15-20 minutes east of LA, known for shitty Asian drivers but delicious Asian food

Changed the oil on the TL last night. Glad I likely won't have to do it again until it starts warming up again in the spring. Sucks doing oil changes when it's -1345 degrees outside.

As for motor oil, I always take a whiff for science purposes.
That said, mine smells a bit like unburned fuel due to my short trip to work (3km) and the TL needing to run rich. That only smells even better.
