Merci, mon ami!
PS, anyone looking for tires right now, discount tire direct just updated their rebates...i.e. what was $30 rebate if you use their careone card is now 75 visa rebate PLUS 60 for using their card...makes for an affordable set of rubber. $270 for the TL...that lasted me 2.5 years this last go...

You guys have crazy deals for tires lol! I wish I could buy a set of decent tires for that price, but I can't even get Chingchong Zuyanhg tires for that price.

you 'muricans should pause once in awhile to realize how lucky you are with a lot of things, especially when it comes to pricing. I buy a SINGLE tire for over $200.

Yay, I fixed it!!

Speaking of Xmas... I built wifey an advent calendar over the weekend. She's been asking for one for a few years now and I always failed to deliver, only to get the stink eye from her every time.

So I bought 24 different xmas themed chocolates, of stuff like individual size Ferraro Rocher, M&Ms, etc, etc, wrapped them up individually, slapped a number on each package, threw them into a santa-themed basket I found at a craft store, threw some of that shredded confetti paper in amongst the packages, and voila! unlimited unga-bunga for the next week!

I'll build her an advent calendar. 24 boxes for her to open.

Doorbusters are what people want.

Low priced low to mid grade TVs

Usually electronics and toys are what people want.

Me, I bought 16GB of ram for my Mac Mini on Amazon. Was $75 on Monday, yesterday it was $50

Was actually tracking the price, it was 60% lower than when I started tracking it during the summer. I didn't buy it then because I thought it was over priced.

So I need a new cellphone. I dropped mine and the screen shattered.

Currently I'm using a Samsung Note 2 (yes, I know it's ancient, but it was temporary until work would get me a new one). Prior to that, in my last department, I had a Samsung Galaxy S5 (the S6 wasn't out yet).

I've had iPhones in the past, now I'm using androids, and honestly, for what I use them for, they both did the trick. But I've been asked what I want to replace my Note 2 with and I don't know what to go with. Suggestions?

I'm no computer wiz by any stretch. I'm sure I was only scratching the surface of what the androids could do. I rarely, if ever, play games on my phone. I simply use it for calling, texting, writing/checking emails and screwing around from time to time. Maybe some online banking and a couple other random apps.

So what should I get?

My only reason to lean towards another android is because of the Garmin Mechanic app. I have the EcoRoute device and it appears the garmin mechanic app doesn't exist for iPhones, for some odd reason.

My only reason to lean towards the iphone is due to being able to sync with my iPad easier.

Any help?

Yes, but why?

One thing that pisses me off about the Samsung phones is their beyond shitty autocorrect function. I find iPhones always do it better.

Work's paying for it?

Go with iPhone, it's simple, it just works, no fucking around. Controlled environment, you're not a power user so you're not even stretching the mold of what an iPhone can do. iPhone is whats supported by everything everywhere and that's great. With Android you just hope your car/device/blah blah will work with it. And then you hope it will work with YOUR Android phone and so on.

Don't get me wrong, I got an Android, I always did before, I love it, but I'd lie if I said I don't continually fuck with it because that's what I do.
I have no problem recommending iPhones to people with different needs and desires than mine.

What do you do with your android? How do you tinker with it?

And yeah, it seems iPhones are geared towards the lowest common denominator (aka me )
