I'm sure if I wait a few weeks for the 07 I'll be paing full MSRP.
So is that list of additional features really worth about $6k? I would really like the NAV traffic and the backup cam, but I can't really justify that kind of money for it.

Some more pics a buddy of mine took yesterday taken in the Car and Driver Magazine parking lot. He also got lots of pics of the new G35, Altima, Lexus LS460, Shelby and a bunch more in Ann Arbor, MI.
His comments on the TL S, looks like way too much wheel gap thanks to the fugly wheels and no Aspec kit on the car. I wish all TLS had the kit by default.

come on lazy people, a link is a link, if its not 'clickable' and God forbid you have to copy and paste it in your browser and it takes 2 seconds longers. Females dogs always gotta complain about something.

The 2007 Acura TL Type-S just doesn't deliver as much "car" as the competition does in MY 2007. Anyone who pays MSRP for a 2007 Acura TL Type-S is crazy.
In what respect? If your talking about FWD vs. RWD and pure hp then fine. Even then, the FWD TL can outrun even the IS in the slalom and lane passing. The TL might be FWD but the level of performance IMHO that the TL delivers is comparable- not equal but comparable. As far as luxury, technological gadgets and being an entry level luxury performance sedan, the TL IMHO does compete with the aforementioned manufacturers.

I think if the price of the TL is at or around (within $1500) then it's tough to pick the Acura because it is behind the others in features and is less HP, less torque (I think), and doesn't have AWD.
It's just not a segment leader. Don't get me wrong, it's still a great car but the others have had major updates and that won't come to the TL until 2009, at which time the TL will probably become the clear winner.
Still, it will probably still sell well because it likely will be less ($1500 is nothing to sneeze at if you're at the top of what you can afford), plus Honda is a great company and it's still a great car.

Features exclusive to the TL Type-S include:
* Increased damping rates for superior handling
* Rear spring rate increased
* A solid front anti-roll bar and thicker rear anti-roll bar
* Damper mount stiffness increased 400 percent for enhanced response and feel
* Exclusive master cylinder for enhanced brake feel
* Brembo 4-piston front brake calipers
* Available 235/45R17 Bridgestone Potenza RE 030 high-performance "summer" tires on automatic and manual transmission models
What's interesting is they discuss a Type-S exclusive master cylinder and stiffer damper mounts over the standard TL.

I don't mind driving something else for a change sometimes, it keeps you on your toes on what else the market offers. If Acura/Honda wants to start selling to rental it wouldn't bother me, they have their reasons I guess, its not like it wouldn't maybe boost their sales and outlook for thoses that may have never driven an Acura.

Yesterday I saw an older type S symbol on the back of a gold TL at first from a far I thought maybe it was one, when I caught up to it, it was some lady in her early 40s was driving it, so asked her what gives? and she said "her son put it on there" I told her to slap him.

well many ppl said the TYPE S came out at the wrong time which is kinda TRUE... i like TL more than g35, ES, and the BMW 3 series. if ur talkinga bout speed tl S will not beat the 335 and the g35 but they can beat them some where else somethign like the sound system and the comfort TL is nicer in those ways
if u want a pure power car then don't go for TL go for 335 or g35
if u want a car that's overall good then TL is the car

Yeah, the new photos and tours of the 2007 TL are out at Acura.com. When you go on the tours .. click on the labels in the picture for a further detail about things. Plus pricing, etc.
I was talking to the parts guy and he said it might be pretty difficult to re-do the wiring for the mirrors ... fyi for people who will try it soon.
