Alright guys enjoy:
I just came back from the show and there will be indeed a type-s version with 295hp.
The type-s will come with the 3.5l engine while the standard model is the same 3.2l. There are minor changes to the exterior of the car most noticable the fog lights are now placed on the bottom of the car. The back headlights are just as the pictures for the Chinese TL without the reflector on the bottom. The interior is pretty much the same except for the newest version of the navigation system and mp3 play back capability on the stereo. I will upload pics later..

Hi all. This is my first post. I was thinking about an 06, but decided to shoot for an 07 to avoid having a quickly depreciating 06. I'm still waiting like everyone else to see it. I decided to check Kelley blue book to get prices of TL's for different years and got a bit of a shock. A good condition 2003 TL goes for about $20,000 max. But a 2004 goes for around $27,700!! However there is only a difference of about $2000 between an 05 and an 04 or other years.
I know the 04 is 3rd generation, but a nearly $8000 drop in the 03?!? This led me to worry about buying the 07 since the TL will be redesigned in 09. I know the 07 will drop in price a little faster when the 09 comes out, and didn't mind. It's a given that it will. But if it's going to drop $8000 over night, that worries me. Did the 2003 drop $7700 instantly in November of 2003 when the 3rd generation came out? Just like that? Or did it gradually fall and is finally now that much less than an 04? I'm hoping it's more of a gradual thing.
Anyone with more experience know how it works? I also didn't want to wait until 2009 to finally get Navi either. So that's why I'm still interested in the 06 or 07. I hope we get to see the 07 soon.

I also realized a mistake I made. I forgot that the 2004 was increased about $3500 over the 2003.. So the $7800 price drop I worried over isn't real. Whew! I feel better now.
Can hardly wait to see pics! I even googled around hoping to find another group that had them first.. But I doubt it. Bring on the 07 TL!

As if it were even funny. Why is it that people keep thinking it's funny to tell everyone they know what the car will be, but they don't? It's like they think, "Wow, everyone really wants to know.. It would be funny to tell them I know!".... Yet they can't think far enough into the future to see it really isn't that HaHa funny.
I don't care who says they know what the car will look like. I probably won't believe anyone at this point. This is at least the 3rd time this happens.
Even if someone posts photos of a 2007 TL, it will probably be a fake. I'm good at fake pictures. I could do it easily. So why couldn't someone else?

I personally have been fairly interested in the upcoming model too, unfortunately I wasn't able to make it out to Nemacolin this weekend because of a prior commitment.
However, if we dont get any more info till the upcoming weekend, I'll try and make it out there (live 45 min away from Nemacolin) and see what I can find. Btw does anyone know if registrations are still open ? I dont wanna seem like a paparazzi taking shots especially without a registration

what are the chances they'll let attendees test drive the vehicles around the property at Nemacolin, in that case, it would be a good idea to linger around and take some photos at the least? maybe even benefit from any last minute drop outs from the list to attend ??

Irritating
I just feel like smashing the heads of the Honda management, why can't they announce information on their upcoming models on their website like other even more successful comapnies (Toyota) do, instead they get some sort of sadistic joy in keep people guessing. I hope it backfires and people start looking the otherway.

2007 Tl?!?!
Saw this on the NHTSA site. It looks like a 2006 but is says 2007 for the crash testing.
It says daytime running lights are standard on 2007 if you look at the details in the page.

295hp is "more than most people can handle" ? "The power wars need to end." !?!?
Maybe you're saying it's more power than you can handle, but I have 2 cars right now - 335hp and 306hp, and I'm able to handle them both fine. Furthermore, there are times when that's not enough hp ... like on the highway when you need to pass a big rig and all of a sudden a car approaches from the opposite direction. I'll take all the horsepower I can get!
I'm thrilled the mfr's have a hp war going ... it's the best thing that's come along for us since the musclecars of the sixties.

Does anyone remember when they saw the first pictures of the 2006 last year? Maybe if someone knows of an old Acurazine thread from last year we could go back and see what date the first pictures showed up.. That might give us an indication as to when Acura releases information. What about old press releases? I tried briefly in google, but still haven't found anything yet. Just a thought....

Yes I have no idea what you are talking about, times have changed, we live in a fast paced world, looks like you have some catchin up to do....
Also with the horsepower competition its actually keepin the prices somewhat down. I think the base TL should be like 295 and the Type-S should be like 320 or so.....

but i dont think they are going to stop increasing power anytime soon, especially with the whole forced induction theme spreading to car companies (ie. srt4, cobalt, bmw twin turbo 3-series, acura rdx, that new mazada suv, etc)
but i also think anything above 290 on the TL will HURT RL sales. considering the RL isnt a big seller in the first place, making the type-s faster then the RL mite be a bad move on acura's part.
