$2k for headlights and $5K for bumpers seems like a lot of money for some plastic

put it in park and hold the I thing on the wheel, you get a settings menu and now you can set trip A to reset during each fillup in one of those menus. Also headlight dim time, interior dim time, auto bright sensitivity.. few other things.

I already have Hondata Flashpro. But for those who might be interested in a cheaper solution.
http://rv6-p.com/tsx/2nd-gen/i4-k24z...l-mt-only.html

KTuner preorders available on RV6 site (maybe others as well). I think it's in beta for CU2s right now, so should release "shortly". Based on the site, it appears to be MT-only at the moment.

No idea. Check if HeelToe has it on their site. I'm sure Marcus would be more than willing to explain in detail the differences, and which features offered in a FlashPro that might sway you towards Hondata over KTuner. I used him as an example because he's a very honest, down to earth guy who would genuinely want you to purchase the product that is right for you. For example, he doesn't try to persuade customers to buy the most expensive set of TEINs for example. He'll tell you the Street Basis are enough if that's the kind of street setup you're looking for.

All in all, I think it'll likely boil down to a couple of things
  1. Tuners being more familiar with FP than KTuner, making it easier for them to tune your car if you have FP.
  2. FP has a greater community backing, and ultimately, better support from the manufacturer. When I was converting Dime Feng's 09-10 map for use in my 2013, I ran into a lot of bugs when 11+ was first supported. I reported the bugs to Hondata and the turnaround time was quick in resolving the issues. It may not always be the case, but you can rest assured Hondata knows their shit and will likely provide you with a fix sooner or later. They sort of have this rep they need to protect now that they have so many users that own/use their products.

KTuner looks promising from its list of features. But IMO it'll depend on how easy it is to use (for owners who love to get their hands dirty and experiment/tune on their own, and for pro tuners themselves), and their level of support.

As expected, pricing is very competitive as Hondata has sort of been the only solution thus far without going into really expensive EMS that mostly target serious track/drag setups. I'd love to see how this thing fairs with the FP.

So what you're telling me is that I should get an AEM standalone, MOTEC maybe?? lmao I'm going with hondata mainly for the community and the fact its here now is nice too.

Naw. I'm saying Hondata is a great compromise in between the two spectrums. On the far left you have something like KTuner which I suspect is the least tried and true, and has the least support. Obviously, comes at the cheapest price. MOTEC or some other standalone is on the other end of the spectrum. Thousands of dollars for a robust setup with tuning to the nth degree, with great support. Then there's Hondata in between.

I definitely did not say anyone of us should be spending on a standalone system! I was just trying to illustrate the options we currently have, and why Hondata has been so prevalent for street, DD-able builds up until now. I believe with the introduction of KTuner, there is definitely more competition for Hondata, which is absolutely great for consumers. Hondata has been the go-to solution for almost all backyard-enthusiast K series setups, whether it be FP or a more expensive KPro. I'm excited to see more variety and hopefully more people tuning their CU2s now that we have a cheaper solution too.

Hey boki I haven't had the chance to ask my dealership about those parts. Chances are they are not cheap. I always buy my stuff from USA and bring them back home to me. Is it not possible to get the parts locally?

That sucks.

I have two bottles of Collinite 845, one can of 476 and some BF Midnight Sun, but up here it hasn't been above freezing to use any of it.

Last I washed my car, it was so full of scratches and swirls from the sand and salt. I would love to be able to polish the car right now.

depends on how highly modded you are.
if you can pull off a vibrant color, i'd do that.

if not; stick with the basics...Lexus pearl white comes to mind. i saw some one on here do the acura white, but with less pearl. came out amazing.
one chick on here did a GM corvette red. pretty cool looking

Milano red or a variation of a blue, not VBP, just so it's custom.

I like the WRX blue variation.
