I'm guessing the seismic data in your pants is negligible; microscopic; almost non-existent?

Has anyone's car alarm randomly gone off before? Mine has done it 3 times. First two times were after I parked about 30 seconds after I turn it off as I'm walking away. It went off again just now while it was sitting in my parents driveway. Haven't driven it since early this morning. I have a tilt sensor I installed a few years ago but all the random alarms have been within the past year or so. Is it ghosts?

Aftermarket or OEM? Does it have a backup battery? If so, maybe it's not holding a charge. If not, maybe is poltergeists.

It's aftermarket. Can't remember the brand without digging through emails to find it. The alarm never had any problems the first year it was on and I haven't touched it since I installed it. I want to say the tilt sensor isn't the problem but I have no idea why it would go off on it's own.

xtc, noticed you have Michelin Pilot super sport tires. How do you like them? Then again you do live in Canada, so not sure if your advice on them would be any relevant to me. Also, aren't those summer tires?

Do they make Sport and Super Sport or is Costco just dumb and put "sport" only?

sport and super sport are different.
The SS really are overkill for this car. And at $250 a tire, didn't make sense for my slow ass fwd lol.

The hancooks i went with are a good match for this car i think. the dry grip is really good, wet grip is way better than stocks. snow is 100% useless.

The PSS are not on yet. They will go on with the Works.

I got them for a decent price. "Used" for about 10 km lol. Bought them off a guy who owns a M235i. He picked his car up in winter and said he has no use for these, because he put winters on his stock wheels and got a set of Advan wheels and a different set of summers as he went with a wider setup. One of the tires actually still have the sticker on them so I have no idea how he even put 10 km on them lol. They look brand new.

I know they're a bit overkill, but it cost just as much as brand new for a new set of my last Hankooks after tax. Fuckin 13% tax here in Toronto, Ontario. The only used set of tires I could find in the specs I wanted ended up being PSS so I figured why not lol

They're supposed to be amazing in the dry and wet, and should also be fairly quiet. The best all around street tire if I'm not mistaken.

Well yea since you got them for a good deal then it makes way more sense, but like for my car it just didnt make sense to pay the premium considering the car. and yea they are amazing wet and dry. I launched the car while it was raining like crazy and it didn't even spin at all.the tsx really needs something to get rid of it's chronic understeer imo

and yea I know the MXM4 are absolutely shit in the snow... but the tires have like 10k km on them so might as well use them lol. Ain't got money for X-Ices... need mods

I've been bumping the original thread over on the other forum. No one will answer about which LED's to use.

That really blows, I did those two LED's (which you saw and said sucked) and did a test and nothing turned on. So I knew I had:

1. The wrong LED's
2. Or it had some type of in-line circuit.
3. Or I hadn't soldered it correctly
4. Or ALL of the above

So I gave up lol. I wasn't gunna try and do the rest if I couldn't test along the way and see progress.

I'm gonna check it with the multimeter to be sure...but i think it's probably 3.3v. Cause yea it won't turn on. Only other explanation is the board is damaged.

Board isn't damaged... unless I damaged it during my attempt, which I doubt. The only thing that could be damaged is the actual diode on the LED if too much heat is used (leaving soldering iron on one location for too long.) All of the other pcb components should be fine.

I would suggest using the multimeter on your OE display while it's still connected and see what the Voltage reading is.

Just take your original pcb completely out and plug directly into the harness and test.

What are you trying to do over here?
