I hear they're doing 84 month loans now. That NSX might not be too far out of reach!

We got ~3 inches of snow last night. I was snowplowing all the way to work. Lot's of weird scraping noises under the car from chunks of ice/snow.

^ They keep the city open when you get snow? In Houston they put everything on lock-down if it gets cold enough to sublimate the humidity out of the air. Literally telling people not to go out because it's too dangerous.
Surprised Dallas does different.

Huh. I wasn't aware of that. Dallas is right about the same latitude as Tucson, Las Cruces, and El Paso and it's pretty much the same city-panic there as in Houston.
I guess I never realized Dallas got an appreciable amount of snow on a regular basis.
Well, good luck then op, ya poor bastid!

I hate how Houston goes full retard from the smallest changes in the weather... This morning it took me nearly 40 minutes to get 10 minutes from my house

Truth! Couple years ago, when they shut down the city because of ice:
I got up and drove into work like usual. Was surprised that traffic was pretty light and chuckled to myself that they had put out orange cones and parked city trucks with flashing lights at some overpasses to keep people off. Get into the office, boot up the computer and see an email to the effect of (paraphrasing here): "don't come into work. roads too dangerous. imminent death. hoard water and spam and wait for it all to blow over. god help us all."
So I packed up and drove back to the house to enjoy some daytime television.
Had a serious WTF face all day. Really confused me that day Houston; keep up the good work.

Dallas gets at least a little bit of snow every winter. Some winters we get 1" total, others we have gotten over 20" total. The city does pretty much shut down and close all schools when there is ice which there is fairly often. The die hards like myself still go to work. I just leave home really early to avoid all the idiots on the roads.
In the burbs they salt/sand their streets and their sections of freeways but for the most part the city of Dallas doesn't do ANYTHING to the roads, which is why it sucks so much and people crash. People here also have a hard time being patient while driving in general and go entirely too fast for what the roads allow.

Also I'm from Houston, so I understand their weather problems too. Although most of the time it's due to the flooding.

Ah, don't get me started on how a city that is essentially a sea level swamp with xx" of annual rain fall can fail so hard at planning on how to manage the water.
Like clockwork, I know that anything more than a light mist will cause the majority of the traffic signals to short out and turn off creating massive vehicular chaos. It's what happens when "no, you go" morons interact with "F-you, imma bro-dozer" monkeys at 4-way stops.
Every. Time. It. Rains.
(It's always raining)

Bro.. I live in Toronto, and this is ALWAYS the case for me here. Say it snows for the entire week. Then we get like 2 days of sunshine and it decides to snow again the day after. When the clear skies are gone and the snow comes back, fucken accidents on the highways like no tomorrow. Bunch of idiots...
