butt, LOL.
you dont have any problems sir.
a noise might be disconcerting, but its nothing to be alarmed over.
you're not going to die and your car isnt going to fall apart.

your car is gonna spend a lot of time at the dealers and all they're going to tell you is that it's normal.
Could it be that since it's cold out, your tires arent grabbing traction and you're activating ABS and or VSA?
hint, ABS and VSA make grinding noises.

Actually one annoying issue I forgot about is my drivers window makes weird noises and seems super flimsy when it's rolled down halfway.

^ what justin said. All the dealer is gonna do is just say it's normal.
pretty sure that noise you are hearing is ABS. you said it was when you brake hard.

I could do something similar with one of my vehicles (sorry, can't remember which one. WPP, right?) under the right circumstances. Typically at low speed like bleeding of the final little bit of momentum coming to a full stop. Right before the pads would finally grip the rotor and cause it to fully stop, I could just slightly left off brake pressure so the car would keep rolling and it would start doing a low frequency groan.
The other way was starting from a dead stop with the brakes fully engaged... Let off the brakes pedal just enough to start moving and I could get it to groan.
I'm like 99% sure that was just brake pad vibration. Sounds like you're hearing it when you're on the brakes hard though.
Can you tell where the noise is coming from? Front or back? Is it consistent with applying the brakes, like it only happens while you have a certain pressure on the pedal or does it just happen briefly during constant brake pressure like it might be a rubber bushing moving and rubbing against metal?

are you losing traction when this happens?
Itz JDM y0!
No, the brakes work perfectly fine. Only happens when I push down 90% on the brakes when coming to a stop. I called the dealer and they said I'd have to come in on a weekday to have a tech ride in the car. Well I can't come in on a weekday..

Mind recording a video to show what you mean?

Might be it but the VSA isn't engaging at the same time (light never comes on)

When you say 90%, do you mean 90% of the brake pedal travel or 90% of the effort needed to to get the pads to lock the rotors?
Hope it's not 90% travel because, damn son, that's really putting your car through a workout for day-to-day driving.
Do you feel any pulsing in the brake pedal or any vibration in the steering wheel or brake pedal?
Does it happen every time you apply the brakes? Can you get a quick cell phone video / audio clip?

Whoa. are you flogging it like a rented mule? That's like panic stopping.
If you're really getting on the brakes hard enough that you're almost bottoming out the pedal then it very well could be an electronic nanny stepping in. That much pressure would lock up an unassisted brake.

My gut feeling is that, like others said, it's nothing to worry about. That's a significant amount of effort and I bet it's the nanny system trying to keep you safe.
I don't know, does the TSX have electronic brake assist?
VTEC just kicked in, yo!
It's probably ABS. Just brake normally VR1

And by "electronic" I guess I really meant "hydraulic". My 4Runner has hydraulic brake booster which makes much more noise than a traditional vacuum booster system. Thought that might be a player in VR1s issues.
And I don't think the TSX does, so it's all moot.
Nothing to see here. move along...

Did several 60-0 hard brake runs but couldn't get the sound out. I guess since my brakes were dry maybe that had something to do with it. I talk to my friend with a CL9 and he said sometimes when he stomped on the pedal when rolling to a stop he heard the same noise and was told it was ABS.

ABS makes the exact noise you are describing so i'm pretty sure that's all you are hearing..

I just wanted to make sure it wasn't anything serious like warped rotors, faulty ABS, etc..

At least we're not arguing over how the rear sway bar on the superior MDX works differently/the same as on the lowly TL or proletariat TSX...

^it was actually the RDX crew that were discussing about Sway bars.
I joined the convo and I guess they have a problem with me, so they started talking shit about me and the TL.
little did they know that we have the same suspension set up. hahahah
