if you want centric and the hawk pads....i might have a connection to get the best price.

if you are somewhat serious let me know PM.

mounting the Progress RSB: the sway bracket....the bottom part has the nut.
progress replaces the mount with an energy suspension unit. THIS is where the bigger bolt comes into play. also progress gives you a plate for the oem bracket that crabby keeps talking about.

could this all be assembled with a smaller bolt.....but strong like grade 8???

If it's purely for aesthetics it's usually the last thing on my "to do" list... My interior trim pieces have had some annoying water spot stains on them that have been driving me nuts for almost two years that I said I would paint a long time ago.. But I always find something else to take my time with the car..

Also I have a can of NH731P, along with adhesion promoter, primer and a can of two-part clear I bought over a year ago to paint match my grill cuz the factory finish started to peel off in one corner and it's still untouched lol. And I have probably had my bumper off three times since... I guess I'm just too lazy for rice lol

The rear is a little odd, but overall this looks really good. And turbo!

Reminds me of a smaller version of the 2008-2012 and Accord coupe. They should pair it with a 2.0L turbo though.

What are you guys asking about? The rear sway bar was like the easiest thing I installed, and didn't think twice about added stress or whatever. You want to install smaller bolts or something? So you don't have to drill your stock?

In all honesty, your bolt is not supposed to be taking on much stress. It's supposed to be translated into your sway bar, so using a smaller bolt shouldn't affect anything. The principal is that you are only using the bolt to get the bar securely in place.

My trim had annoying ass water spots also. I just resprayed em with some metallic rustoleum. Color looks the same as stock

Yeah he doesn't want to put in the bigger bolts and have to drill, so he was asking if he could just do a stronger, smaller bolt.

I smell a smaller turbo 2.0 variant from the type R being utilized for the new SI... Not everybody is gonna want to fork 40k+ plus for the type r to get the goodies

Yeah they rust up.. But from what I've seen most rotors do from sitting out in the wet.. Since I started parking in the garage they don't really rust up anymore from overnight condensation

Ah alright. Well i'll just paint em then. I have some hi temp black spray. All ordered now.
And yea most do rust, but some have the hubs and the part the pads don't touch coated in black so it won't rust up.

^^^ nah, even cryotreated rotors are going to rust. The cryo cycle just helps with grain alignment within the rotor. Any carbon steel disc is going to get surface rust in moist environments. It's just basic metellurgy.

^k will do

So amazon is magical. I ordered the rotors like 15 hours ago and I already have them (well the rear ones). But they are labeled Front passenger and Front Driver. wtf? I hope these are the right parts.
The real "fronts" should arrive tomorrow.

EDIT, yea the part # matches on their site so i guess whoever packed these is an idiot.

Nah, since i'm just starting out with one I went with this Folger Tech kit which people say is very good for the price. $350 ish and then it might be another $100ish for a few upgrade parts. This one is nice cause i can do PLA and ABS. I should even be able to print carbon fiber and nylon.

Sweet. We got a makerbot to dick around with, I mean use responsibly, at work. I saw a cheaper version at Sam's Club last week and had to restrain myself. Shapeways is just fine for my needs right now.

Let me know when you want to start printing me some small parts.

Sounds perfect! Put it on the list of things to make for me...

Actually.. I designed a dove tail connect link to make the grille in pieces. Do you have Solidworks? I could send it to you. I think you only have the entire grille file.

I think we still have the shared dropbox folder, so it's whatever is still in there. I don't have solidworks yet but i'll download it. I'll just wait till the printer shows up before i do all that though.
