That TLX GT (track) grille is a million times better imo.. and brembos would be awesome. Not feeling the Type S badge being on the fender though... kinda rice to me. LOL I'm willing to bet a million bucks Acura won't create a TLX-S with those HRE wheels.

Hey facelift gaiz, how did you guys plastidip the fog covers? i.e., how many coats? what did you mask off? was the black textured part on the inside dipped too? How'd you precisely remove excess dip without f-ing up the parts you want to keep? I'm mainly looking at you mcmiyoung

thanks

I took off the bumper and removed the fog light covers to dip them. 5 coats maybe? I don't know.

cool, thanks op. I'll probably do 5 coats as well then. I was already planning on removing the front bumper to get access to the screws holding the covers.. I'm pretty sure it will be extremely difficult to remove/install the covers with the bumper still attached.

I'd also use the glossifier on the fog light covers so it blends in more with the body.

iirc HRE made the wheels the prototype NSX used when it lapped Mid - Ohio.
Still won't see them on any production vehicle.. would be cool though.

That's what I said with my old TL! Looks amazing for the 5 seconds it's clean, but a pain outside of that.

Might be interested in the reverse lights. I'll need to see pictures. Mine look nice but aren't any brighter than stock and don't light up my reverse camera that well.

They are the 2 middle ones in the pics with that lens thing on them. I can go take a picture of the light output later. I can see everything now at night when i reverse, so awesome.

I would use glossifier. It made a nice difference on my wheels. Also now it has some fade stopper thing in it.

hm.. you guys don't think the fog cover without the glossifier will flow better with the black plastic not-a-vent thing next to it? or do you guys think it will look too matte next to the not-a-vent without the glossifier?

edit: looked at simon's pics of his dipped covers without glossifier.. you think it looks a tad matte compared to the adjacent vents?

I personally like the matte look better than if it were glossy since there's gonna be a slight textuire to it. If I were to actually paint them then that's another story since it'll actually come out smooth.

Also, first day of college and I meet a new CU2 owner that I've never seen before! I left a note and he added me on fb lol

Ran over a small curb at 5-6 mph. Didn't damage the front lip or skirts (thankfully) anything else I should look out for?

I put automotive clear coat on them. They are kind of orange peely but you can't tell unless you get really close. If I ever redo them I'm going to use gloss black vinyl.

I have those bulbs and they're alright. The tail lights alone light up pretty much everything in the camera for me to the point I barely even notice the reverse light(might be because of the "fog light", idk though).

Thanks for the tip guys.. guess I'll stop being a cheap ass and buy the glossifier, and if it looks too dull I'll add a couple of coats on top of the black.

VR1, check for curb rashes? if your skirt and lip survived, I'm doubting there's any other damage to the body

Decided on fashion major right?

They let me take "Costume Design" as one of my required electives my senior year. There were a bunch of weird theater majors in there.

I wish. Unfortunately we didn't get to make anything in there. There were sewing machines in the back of the class but we didn't use them. I thought that we would be making them when I signed up. It turned out to just be history of clothes and memorizing Powerpoints.
