I think the outgoing STi is better than the new one, but yeah the older ones were some of the best looking. New one looks too Ford Fusion-ish from the front for me.

 

Part of it I think I just got lucky, at least on the outside metal ones. There are also 4 interior 4x4 legs. Each of those was slightly different heights and I had to measure each one really carefully.

is it just me, or does it seem like the left part of the seat closest to the door gets all the weight when going in and out of the car. i see it wrinkling

 

It does get wrinkled pretty quick. One of those things you will learn to deal with soon.

 

They do look somewhat similar. Mine however screams quality since I used solid oak boards instead of particle board crap.

My dad helped me build the night stand. It was more complicated so I was just the helper and he was the brains.

Oh yeah Ikea particle board shit is the shittiest shit. My last desk was Ikea and it literally caved in.

No, it's a few boards i put together and stained black then coated with some polyurethane. My PC is underneath there also next to the bases.

Would a 2014 floor mat set fit 2011 TSX? I am guess they would, since they are essentially the same car. Someone who just got a 2014 is selling their brand new floor mats because they got other ones. I just thought I'd grab them have have an extra set even though mine are still in pristine condition.

I guess it's whatever type of silicon adhesive they used for my windshield, but it smells great in the cabin. It's got that new car smell again!

I never realized until I took a manufacturing class that the "new car smell" is actually the out-gassing of the plastic pieces in your car.

When they first started putting a lot of plastic on the interior, people complained about the smell, but advertising put a spin on it and basically made it known that a "new car will smell" and convinced everyone that they in fact DO like the smell haha.

Inherently.. out-gassing is not really good for your health haha

 

I like buying those "New Car" air fresheners, but they only last a week or so.

 

get the pink japanese ones. you will smell like a cherry blossom

 

Saw every version of the TLX today at the dealer, my dealer has like 500 of them... Car looks decent I guess but doesn't really stand out. And the interior has wayyyyy to much chrome. Its horrible. I prefer the TSX's looks but i still need to drive a TLX.

 

I think the TSX looks better IMO.

 

Yeah it really does. I had to double take before I even realized it was the new TLX. Then I realized, quite literally, that I was surrounded by them. Seriously... my dealer must have got them all. There were a million of them.

 

I've seen this probably a couple of years ago now... I cringed looking at those pictures..
