Same here. I would only let someone detail it after I could confirm they do legit work. My trust in others went even lower after my cousin told me some guys used a blade to remove gum from his paint...maybe the stupidest thing I've heard. There are a ton of other ways to remove gum (soap and some elbow grease work fine), a blade should never be touching the paint unless you're trying to mess someone's ride up.
If you zoom in where the sun hits the car, those are swirl marks right? Can they be removed by polishing?

Yep. I'd just buy a beater if I really needed something and call it a day. It's also why the subway and taxis are major forms of transportation.
^lol seen this. Hilarious. Knowing how much of a douchebag the driver in the white car was in the first place, he probably came out and fucked up the red car after the guy left.
The girly giggles at the end kill me though haha. But for real, how are you going to do that to someone and just leave with your top open? I'd imagine whoever that was took a piss on the driver seat at least lol.
LMFAO the ending was perfect.

Thanks!
Is it possible to polish out the swirls by hand? Like by doing something like this? http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...Swirls-By-Hand

^You can, but it's a lot of elbow grease. Typically people don't do it by hand for the entire car... you're looking at wayyyy too much elbow grease, and you'll less be likely getting all the swirls out. But hey if you don't wanna buy a machine polisher, that's one way to do it
Thanks!

You can pick up a Porter Cable 7424 with pads and it isn't too expensive. The ends justify the means.

Anything cheaper then the 7424? Something >$200 would be ideal. Otherwise I'll just by some swirlX and do it by hand one day.

Sounds like a professional detail is going to be a waste of time
