Are you sure? it sounded like the driver hit something and it shifted.
dayum though that is quite fast. Those are some crazy short gears though.

 

Isn't it about the same 0-60 as the v6 tsx?

 

I don't hear the guy tapping as it hits redline and gears up. Also some comments in the vid seem to think so too, but maybe I'm just deaf lol

why.....my tsx upshifts in S; only doesnt if in S i touch the paddle and then its in M mode. but if I just go from D to S it will upshift and downshift all on its own.

 

It looks like that guy was in M mode though and it still shifted.

 

yeah you're definitely right, but the driver was in M mode for the entire length of the video

Maybe you can get a new TSX for $30k since the TLX is out?

 

GTI i'd say... or maybe v6 accord coupe 6MT if that's around that price. GTI and MS3 can be made a lot faster for cheap though.

 

Out of VR1's list, I'd take out the Mazda 6 and the Accord. I haven't driven either, but I get the feeling the other cars are definitely more "fun" to drive. Not really a fan of how the 500 looks though.

 

This is a difficult list.. of course I have to be biased toward Honda but...

The new focus ST is pretty sweet! It's gotten some pretty great reviews, and I know people who live and die for the new ST

Ive seen some awesome modified speed 3's out at autocross. And that stock turbo can do some work.

Mazda 6 is nothing special to me mehhh

V6 Acorrd coupe has some great features and styling that feel more luxury, and you still get the sportyness out of the 6spd MT

Civic Si though.... this is the one you want if you're going for "sport on a budget" sooo many aftermarket parts, and phenomenal OE upgrades including K24z3 engine, LSD and sexy styling inside and out. Very reliable car, and takes well to bolt ons and tuning!

 

I wish they still made the MazdaSpeed 6. AWD, Turbo and 6MT, yes please.

It would be the base model, but the 370z also. Although for the price I'd look for a used Nismo. Also wanted a GTI if I didn't go for the TSX. VW reliability just scares me too much though, especially the GTI.

Get an AP2, guarantee you'll have fun if you're not just interested in straights. Still a car I want as a weekend warrior

True, but I like the added tq on the AP2, as well as the facelift.

I guess the AP1 is really more raw and track oriented. The AP2 is a little more daily friendly and you can definitely get around town and pass other cars without being in VTEC all the time lol

But mostly, I'm thinking AP2 because it's probably easier to find a clean, low mileage AP2 than AP1.

Haven't used those, but I got my whole package from CheckItAuto for $21. Not blindingly bright, but definitely brighter then stock and no problems so far.

 

Damn, are you driving in redline all the time or something. Don't think I've even hit 20mpg before.

Buy the leds I posted. This style of led is crap and almost always have too much blue tint to them. I went through a couple that were this style and hated them all.

 

I know you said you soldered them and I don't know how to, that's why I didn't want to get those. But yeah yours do look good. I don't think the ones VR1 has are all that bad, especially compared to the stock lights.

 

I know the user waaasobe has the kit that I posted earlier. The stock pictures look nearly the same to the ones you linked. Probably a little more blue though.

If you don't mind them being pretty bright then you won't have to solder anything.

 

I mean yours already looked pretty bright and you soldered them so...

 

I just changed the exposure on my picture. I could have made them look like the sun or like they were hardly on. I think they are the perfect brightness right now but its hard to know how it compares to what you'd like.

 

A photo is the worst way to see accurate lighting on something.... perfect example is this night shot, totally unrealistic. It was pitch black.
