Nope. At one point i was, but after my knifeedged 3.5 crank was damaged and as it turned into a 3.7 boost went out the door. I liked the idea of NA. If i were to do it again id probably go the FI route.

Those things break SO easy. I broke the one on the J32a2 i pulled out of my car by just unplugging it. And its not that its hard to replace, just a pain because of having to remove what you have to just to get to it.

I took a ton of pics. But each step of the assembly, hands were usually oily and once in the grove i didnt want to stop.
Here are all the pics i took along the way

Lmao thats awesome. Well worth a night on the couch.
My knock sensor broke while I was putting the runners back on. I didn't even touch the damn plug, I pulled the cable by mistake and heard a crunch. I freaked out at first til I noticed the nut was still there and was an easy fix

I think between a little age and the heat it sees down in the valley the plastic just gets brittle.

You can use various cars now for wiring, and ECUs. The big thing (if you arent opposed to using a soldier iron) you can use a Auto ECU and convert it to a manual ecu (modification is only needed for cruise to work) Having said that though, auto guys are screwed as this wont work for autos.

Ohhh this is an interesting development. Another ECU option, hmm...
So basically this ECU will work with a Gen 1 J series engine, so that would work well for the 2G TL cars.
But I'm not sure if our cluster uses the same signal as the 3G ECU. Definitely will keep an eye out for updates.
