I removed the driver door panel today and tried hooking up just the door handle/lock piece and the window piece, but it dsnt work unless I plug in the other plug that goes to the light. Anyone know why? I will have to look into it further later.

This is the plug that needs to be plugged in for any controls to work on driver door.

The weird thing is that they only squeek when you arent using the brakes. When you press the brake pedal the noise goes away and comes back as soon as you release the pedal. It sounds like the pad or something is contacting the rotor when brakes arent being used. Could this be frozen pistons. I have a feeling it is because of using those calipers or because of acura.
I had a similar issue with my Legend calipers. I thought I needed to rebuild them because of the noise, that was something I really did not want to do. So, instead, I thought I would try and replace the shims that attach to the outside of the inner and outer brake pads. Especially the inner pad shims because they are the ones (there's two) that contact the two brake pistons. I bought #'s 16, 17 & 19 on the link below.

http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no

I am certain that #17 was the one that corrected my squeak problem because I never installed a 'second shim' from the old single piston CL caliper. It had one; however, it was smaller and only was big enough for the single piston. It was #11 on the link below.

http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no

I only had one shim on the inner pad. That was #10 on the single caliper diagram. Long story short, when I included that #17 shim on the legend diagram, it eliminated the similar noise mentioned above.

If you absolutely have to rebuild, your thread below talks about it. The links in posts numbered eleven and twelve lead to rebuild kits and seals for the legend calipers.

StreetKA, are you running legend calipers?

I agree, those maybe the culprit as well. Sometimes these parts wear a bit to fast and the result is an annoying noise that drives you crazzzzy.

I am hoping to get alot done this weekend. Gonna remove my audio stuff and all interior parts, clean, rewire audio if i plan to put it back. Hope to have my seat, harness bar and harness in soon. Will be removing the carpet but havnt decided if I will put it back in and see what other weight savings I can do.

I will be putting the front door panels and door sills back, I dont like it without them(too noisy and too many wires showing).

Here is the hole in the floorboard from when a vehicle flung a huge metal something at me on the highway in a construction zone. You can see where the floor is dented in, and the green is plastic i taped underneath to keep water from getting in. Where you see green is where the hole is. It completely bent that one bracket. That brown glue sucks.

I dunno. Either I use jb weld or take it to bodyshop to weld. I have never welded and don't have equipment.

I removed the carpet, and most of the sound deadening by driver side rear passenger feet. I weighed the carpet and it weighs 23 lbs. Here is some of the change I found in the car under the carpet, looks 100 years old.

I removed the cross member to get at the front driver seatbelt.

Removed the audio system and navi.

I installed the seat. Still need to do the harness bar and harness just test fitting stuff first. Cant wait to drive it like this and see how light it is. Seating position is really low, almost too low for me.

The new seat looks great. Were you ever able to find a matching seat of the passenger side?

I am not sure. I can make an itemized list of what is removed, but that wont count the stuff already installed that Id rather not remove just to weigh and put back on.

thnx, no I didn't find one. Not sure if I want to spend that much just for a seat for passengers.
http://www.nengun.com/recaro/sp-g-iii-kk that is closest I could find, but its black with white stitching.

Could do a reclining recaro with the same color setup like this. http://www.gotuning.com/product_info...oducts_id=1187

I decided to fix the door panel armrest gap issue on my driver panel while I had it removed. I used rhino glue that I ordered online. I bought the bag of clips at walmart and got the paint stick free from home depot. You just spread the glue between the seperated foam and plastic part. Then using the clips attach on the back plastic and on the paintstick. Let it sit for an hour or two then remove the clips. Just be careful not to get glue on anything cause you wont get it off.

I reinstalled my zeal coilovers I had rebuilt. The car is pretty high but I can adjust. The car feels extremely light now. It accelerates, brakes and turns so easy. I dunno why but it seems like shifting is easier and smoother.
I am happy with the seat it fits me great. It is really comfortable for a bucket seat. I am kind of glad I wasnt able to get another for passenger. My friend couldn't even fit in the seat, and most people I have in the car can't fit in it. I would have to get the xl seat or a reclining seat for passenger.
After I get motor mounts I will begin the engine work. 13's should be pretty easy I'd think.

I know the feeling i did remove back seats passenger seat everything from a trunk and i eas able to hit 13.8. Thats around 100-130lbs of savings. I still weight 240lbs though, you must by skinny to fit in that seat. Im sure you will break 13.5 easy. As long as cl is my daily i wont do that to her but i may get something else instead then we'll see.

Engine mods will be option ud pulley, ported runners, ported IM, bored tb, p2r plenums, mdx horns, p2r tb spacer, p2r thermal gaskets, comptech headers and comptech icebox. I am also going to install the tl springs to protect from over rev.
Only other things I plan on doing with engine is maybe custom header or header collectors and exhaust. With the reduced weight I think I will be plenty happy with the power.

So I purchased/paid for a radiator from excelerate that will be made by griffon. I gave them my car info and was told they already had the dimensions to make radiator. Keep in mind I paid over 4 months ago. When I received the radiator it did not fit so I sent it back. They asked me to take measurements of my stock radiator to fix it. I sent them dimensions multiple times and waited. Then weeks or a month later they tell me that I have to send in my stock radiator or they refuse to fix it. So I bought a brand new knockoff stock radiator I had to pay for and I had to pay shipping. Then I don't hear anything from them for another fee weeks. Now they tell me modifying the radiator to fit is not possible and they would have to make a whole new one. According to griffon i am liable for this problem. They refuse to do this unless I pay them another 500 on top of the 6-700 I have already spent. I told them I will not pay another cent. Now my only option is to take legal action.

That sucks man.
Good heads up too.
How did you make payment.
what is their policy with cutom parts ?
Most places that make custom parts will not offer no refunds.
But if they went by their spec's then they should have had their shit together.
And that might be able to get your funds back.
They do not want to pay for the new material and that's their problem.
material is always the biggest factor is custom jobs.
good luck getting you stuff straght.

I got email today from excelerate that he will work it out and pay them. I must say excelerate is an amazing vendor and I really appreciate what he is doing. He has always answered my emails promptly. I feel bad about the whole situation and just wish it went smoothly and noone had to lose out on this deal. The only winner in this situation is Griffon since they are getting paid twice.

I dunno if I want to deal with anymore custom parts, not worth the headache.

The only winner in this situation is Griffon since they are getting paid twice.

I dunno if I want to deal with anymore custom parts, not worth the headache.
If Griffon was the fabricator on the thread below that XLR8 used for aluminum radiators, it seems that they should have had already worked out the proper measurements, especially since the thread specifically states the radiator is for 01-03 CL, CL-S, 99-03 TL, TL-S.

I was saving to purchase that Griffon aluminum radiator, back in 2007, when someone found an alternative made by CSF for almost half price, which I ended up buying. Its been trouble free since.

Great to hear it's working out for you, although something smells rotten in Denmark, err, Griffon.

For your seat, how are they mounted? Did everything come with the seat? Does the back recline?
