I would just type it in on ebay and bookmark the page. I'm sure another one will pop up eventually.

What's the model of the seat?

are you planning to get rid of power steering and a/c for weight reduction as well?

asm recaro spg III limited II I purchased last new one available. They made a limited run of 200 in 2006 and that was it.

I will be keeping both of those. I rarely use the ac but there are a few times when its nice to have in summer. I will be removing the cruise control. As of now I want to keep my indash screen/navi/stereo also. Just removing stuff I never use.

Besides seats my next big weight project is going to be removing the sunroof and sunroof assembly and either replacing with a cf or lexan plug. I am planning on doing this when my car goes to bodyshop.

CF hood and trunk is on the radar too but I am not too sure about those. I kind of like keeping the car looking stock/sleeperish. The cops dont pay any attention to me as is.

i'm gonna be straight up honest. trying to save weight by taking out small items just doesn't make sense to me, specially with our cars.

Its just not worth it to loose the comfort features to make the car just a little bit lighter/faster.

I am only removing stuff that I never used. I am keeping radio, ac, power steering etc. I have only used the cruise control twice in 8 years so I dont see a reason to keep it on.

The sunroof I also rarely use. It will probably save roughly 40 lbs from the highest part of the car.

I find my car no less comfortable than before. If anything I have less rattles now because all the plastic is gone. I am basing this build on my needs which is different than most cl owners. The most uncomfortable thing was having coilovers lowered too much. Since then I have raised them.

I find it odd so many people are against removing weight from a car because of comfort features, yet these same ppl slam their cars on coilovers so they drive horribly on street roads and have to drive slow.

the weight saving stuff might be small but it all adds up. There is such a big difference in the feel of the car after removing a few hundred pounds. btw I am not planning on going to the extreme of removing all sound deadening, carpet, etc.

seats, steering wheel, sunroof plug, cc delete, cleaning up engine bay and upgrading to 2 piece bbk is only other weight savings i really have planned. Could always get the cf hood, trunk, and remove my spoiler also but undecided on those.

I noticed all my rotors have lines on them that you can feel with your fingernail. Could this just be from storing for winter and it will wear away or is it something worse like frozen pistons etc? I hope I dont have to replace after only 7k miles.

k thnx

I am trying to decide if I should get my bodywork or custom exhaust done first, what do you think? Also i am trying to decide on resonator. How would you rate magnaflow vs vibrant? I am looking at vibrant #1791 and magnaflow #14416.

Just went to Acura dealer to get simple service done, they unnecessarily removed my wheels and ended up damaging 3 out of 4 of the wheels with deep grooves around all lug nuts.

I swear nothing goes right.

No my SSR Type F, they are better then the bbs. The 3 wheels they damaged were in perfect condition before they touched them. Not 1 rock chip or scratch. They cost over 600 per wheel new.

Touch up paint is ghetto. I either have to powdercoat or sell them.

Also I now have a ticking/clicking sound coming from front left wheel that wasn't there before service.

They didnt listen to me tho. Now I have 2 more issues than before I went in. I just wish there was such a thing as customer service. Acura refuses to take responsibility like always, and they are trying to dodge my phone calls and avoid me. Looks like I have to drive there to get anyone to talk, and if you want action all you can do nowadays is sue which isnt worth my time or money.

These wheels will most likely be in the BM in the next week for 1k if anyone wants them. Still in good shape, I am just picky.

Damn, thats garbage you should go there and tell them to pay for the damages. I would be really pissed its not as bad when its your fault, but since they damaged it that sucks.

Telling them dsnt make them give you money. They know just to deny it and I cant prove it. This was one costly oil change.

I was thinking I might buy a suspension bushing kit for another honda/acura and see what I can get to fit. What car would you think is the closest to ours? I was thinking rsx or prelude. Something like this. http://www.corsportusa.com/store/cat...roducts_id=388

I also want to go measure a rsx sunroof to see if it is same size as ours to see if this would work. http://www.corsportusa.com/store/cat...oducts_id=6972

What about battery ? I was thinking about Braille or Oddysey but not sure how will they act in the east coast winter. This is my daily driven. Its like 25-30 lbs to be shaved.

I would go with something that has the same cold cranking amps as the stock battery. Can still shed some weight just not as much.

Guy who makes plugs sent me measurements. I will see if they match ours. If not he is willing to make me a custom one for $50 more. Will keep you posted.

He checked dimensions of all plugs he makes and nothing matches ours. It will need to be custom. I am thinking it would be better to have a local shop do it to make sure it fits.

Just thought Id update a lil bit. Waiting on a few parts to arrive then I will do timing belt and valve adjustment. Waiting on the custom radiator atm. I also bought the 07 tl-s exhaust springs to install.

I have never seen anyone mention this yet on this forum so i thought some people might be interested. I got my 01 Acura MDX horns in and here are pics(first pair sent to me were bent in half). Pics also show welded IMRC and my intake/runners.

Here is my harness and shoulder pads.

Those mdx horns look good. I wonder if there is any gain though, cause although you increase runner length it kinda looks like it would mess with the flow of air through the plenums and making them even smaller and less effective. They probably would be great with p2r plenums though.

p2r was using them on his setup with the plenums that's where i got the idea from. If they didn't show gains he wouldn't have used them, I just have no idea how much.

Also I agree they probably do make some gains with the Plenums but if paired with the stock plenums it might not be worth using.
