It is just a standard dremel and I use the metal polishing tips and mothers metal polish. Dont forget goggles or you'll have polish in ur eyes.

What is pictured is all I used really. I did use a rag, toothbrush, and q-tips to remove all the left over polish also.

i finally bought the service manual. I also bought the ultra racing 4 point lower front brace so will see how that is when i get it.

Wanted to ask opinions on if this battery is enough for my application. I am just running the front comps and rear 6x9's with 1 jl 300/4 amp. Or i can go with the 15 lb option or the odyssey p680.

main reason is to save weight and optima is heavy like civic said. Looking for something under 15 lbs stock/optima batteries are like 30-40 lbs.

It is between the odyssey p680 or the braille. Braille has a 6 lb, 11.5 and 15 lb version, I thought the 11 would be good choice.

Look at the CCA rating on them and go with whats closest to stock. You need a battery that has enough juice to turn the starter.

trying to decide what steering wheel to use. I have narrowed it down to 3-4 wheels, any opinions appreciated.

Option 1 Mugen III race wheel suede 360mm
http://www.jhpusa.com/store/pc/viewP...&idcategory=58

Option 2 Spoon sport wheel leather 360mm
http://www.jhpusa.com/store/pc/viewP...&idcategory=58

Option 3 Nardi Deep Corn Sport Rally wheel perforated leather 330mm
http://www.jhpusa.com/store/pc/viewP...idcategory=258

Option 4 Personal Grinta wheel leather 330mm
http://www.jhpusa.com/store/pc/viewP...idcategory=259

I was planning on using the works/bell hub would I need the adapter for the nardi or personal?

I think Mugen looks better than the others. If you have to then go for it

As for batteries. How long they last ? Good in winter whats our stock battery specs

Not too sure still need to look into it more. I had to replace my battery last year at sears and couldnt wait to order a battery so not really eager to throw this battery out yet.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. Even tho the mugen and spoon are actually momo wheels anyway. I was leaning to either the mugen or spoon since they go with the acura theme more since both are japanese companies. I just saw someone with the nardi wheel and it looks amazing and the perforated leather matches the car also. I am a little worried how the mugen suede will hold up and it dsn't have the nice red stitching like I wanted. Hard choice.

Here is the spoon wheel with the jdm nsx-r horn button. Looks great, too bad the CL is not JDM.

I have a question if anyone can help me. I was wondering if/how I would remove this sensor from my TB. It is the only one that dsn't use screws and I am not sure how to remove it if it is even supposed to be.

I bought a bored tb from the BM on here and the tb came bare with no sensors like this.

It dsnt seem like you can buy that sensor seperately.

edit: i just read in the service manual it is not replaceable looks like I got duped.

Thats the TPS. Take a dremel and cut a slot into the heads of the studs. Then unscrew them like a normal screw. If you dont want to do that, search for "Honda TPS" and you'll find aftermarket companies that sell them.

They say its not replacable so they make more money. Those studs are called break away bolts or security bolts. Its the same type they use on the ignition.

Make sure you dial the TPS back in when you reinstall it otherwise youll get a CEL. It needs to read ~.5v closed throttle and ~4.5v WOT. You can do it with a voltmeter or some OBDII scan tools can see it as well.

I posted that one pic of it. A bored tb they just shave metal from the inside circle so that there is room for more airflow. They add a larger plate also to keep it sealed when closed. The tb i bought came bare with no sensors.

thnx for the info. I would rather just buy a honda one so I can keep my stock tb sensor intact. You have a link where i should buy it from and is it the same one for all honda/acuras?

Two small little updates

this is a oem jdm 94-01 integra type r shift boot. The boot is bigger than our boot so it required some trimming and modding to get to fit and look right. I wanted red stitch to match my seats and other interior mods I still need to do.

this is the oem jdm honda oil cap found on civic type r.

I bought them both from icb motorsports, oil cap was 21 and the shift boot was 29.

What do you expect to gain from the P2R mods?

It matters what else i do to it. With what I have and just adding the IM I would guess 250-260ish. If I add on custom headers, exhaust and tune it on ems I would think 280-300.

Here is a pic of when I opened my garage door today after 19 inches of snow.

My braille battery was delivered yesterday, I decided to go with the 15 lb version. Here are a few pics to show the size difference between acura battery and braille.

It is rated on site as 1067 pulse cranking amps, 574 cranking, 425 cold cranking. The battery came with a test sheet saying my battery rated 718 cranking amps.

Cool. You garage it for the winter anyway right? Get a trickle charger for it though.

We had an ice storm Monday night, then it was 54* yesterday, 71* and sunny today. I stayed home and worked on the bike. Tomorrow will be mid 40s but then its back into the 50s.

That storm gave us some rain but we didnt get anything nasty.
