They have the same block casting as our 3.2, just with different internals. Getting a used 3.5 engine and selling your 3.2 block brings costs way down. Getting a 3.7L crankshaft new is pricey.

yes J32A2 sleeves dissipate heat better, but the J35A4 are thicker i believe. I'm just pointing out an option to save money is all.

Im up in the air as to what to do next. I want to buy a ct s/c for 1500-2k but its almost impossile to find one without pieces missing or needing rebuilding. If i can i will go the s/c route.

Other thing i am thinking is doing a full interior upgrade. If I cant find a s/c soon i am thinking of going this route. Just not sure what seat/steering wheel options i wanna use. Then have to decide if reclining seats or buckets. If I got buckets I would need to add a bar to the rear seat area and add a 4 point harness. I would also add a steering wheel hub and either spoon or mugen wheel. Alot of custom work.

Other option is just use my rsx seats and get the driver seat reuphostered on a few areas, and keep my dc5 wheel and use stock seat belts. i am also considering using the rsx passenger seat, then buying a recaro speed seat for driver seat.

Any opinions. I either want to add power or lose weight in the front of the car. I am having a hard time making up my mind, especially since i cant find a s/c to buy.

i would go for the s/c no matter what. You'll get much more pleasure out of it. The CL interior is pretty nice as is IMO.
There is only one s/c up where i am that is for sale and it is coming from the accord and he wants $2,800! That's why i'm leaning more towards the 3.5. I figure the 3.5 would cost under 3Gs all said and done.
Another option is NVA's M90 s/c. That would probably run you ~4Gs all said and done but you'd have some crazy numbers.

I am gonna update the interior no matter what, it is just how far i take it. The least i would do is rsx seat swap. As far as the 3.5-6 build or the m90, I dont see that really happening, and i dont have a local shop I trust. Then you have reliability etc issues.

As far as engine options I am basically looking at staying n/a and just doing some port/polishing or add on the ct s/c. I feel like this is my last option to s/c this car. If i dont use this money on it now, it will go towards interior and s/c will go out the window.

It all comes down to if i can find a s/c and how long I am willing to wait i guess. I have basically been searching for one for a year now. Since last November.

I already made offer to one, just waiting for seller to accept. The other one for sale, the guy refuses to send pics so id rather not deal with him.

btw if i buy an accord/tl-p s/c what will i need to buy/replace to fit on the cls6?

From looking at the checklists for both i see they have different sized pulley and belts. They have different part numbers for the fuel pressure regulator, esm, intake elbow, etc. Can you use the accord esm on the cl or what about the fpr?

IIRC its just the pipe from the s/c to the intake manifold that needs to be replaced. The elbows are different. I think everything else is the same.

If this is the case then why is the accord s/c $500 less new than the cls s/c? Also why would anyone buy the CL kit over the accord then, that piece of plastic isnt worth 500?

Maybe there is more that is changed. Im not 100% sure, but I do know the elbow definitely needs to be changed.

i thought the differences were elbow, esm, icebox (obviously). might have to ask Comptech to make sure.

I've heard the ESM is not that great though. If you get it for $1,500 you then need the elbow, install, gauges...seems like you'd be spending 2,500-3,000 in the end. Does that sound right Diddy?

if your running the stock pulley the esm is ok but if your running the high or max boost pulley you need engine management. the rest of your statement is true also. me personally id run engine management even if i was running the stock pulley.

i spent 2k for SC, $300 for emanage, me and another az member installed my SC so that was free, $400 for boost and AFR gauge, i want to get a custom gauge pod like civicdvr so thats another $200, $100 for high boost pulley. so total $3,000 towards my SC. but remember add "X" amount for install unless your doing it yourself.

I have a shop that will install it for fair price. As far as the elbow, can I just use the elbow from my icebox now or is it different? If the accord esm wont work on the CL I will just have to get emanage.

the elbow that is differnet from the accord/auto cl/manual cl is the elbow of the supercharger...it's metal. If you have the wrong one it won't line up and connect to the intake manifold. the comptech kit was made to use the icebox. It basically uses the bottom part of the icebox.

https://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&i...4431&disp=imgs

here are the pics of the accord s/c i can pick up for 1200. it is missing the fuel pump, battery relocation tray, and radiator hose according to the seller. Seems like a good deal to me and pics look good. If anyone notices any other parts missing from the pics let me know.

So it looks like i might have 2 options to buy a charger so most likely i will get one or the other soon.

damn. I am more worried about the parts i can only get from CT like the elbow. Getting them to send me the right mufflers a few months ago took me over 3 weeks of emailing and calling every single day to finally get someone to answer the phone. I really dont want to do that again.

I've called them twice and got through both times.

Got the specs for the things I was inquiring about.

I met a few of the guys before and they were all really chill. Helpful.

I forgot to mention a few things I had done. I replaced the spark plugs with NGK Iriduim IX's. I replaced my headlight bulbs with phillips d2r 5000k bulbs. My purge solenoid valve had been ticking for awhile so i bought a new one and replaced it. No ticking since then.

I also didnt mention I picked up a set of the P2r plenums for a decent price. When it was shipped to me the front piece was ontop of the bottom piece and had scratched the top of the bottom piece so i decided to sand it down and polish.

These pics show what the front top looks like from p2r unpolished.

These pics show the back top after I sanded it with 2000 grit and polished it with metal polish and a dremel and mothers drill metal polish cone.

Still needs a little more work but getting there.
