I'm using BN2HN18B.BIN. However someone else on the forum stated that he was able to get it to work with this bin. If you need the bin file let me know!

as long as its below 113,068 then it should be good. i made several discs trying different resolutions and sizes. as long as its below that, then it works with no lag.
try something else, make it a bit smaller. like 110k or something and see if that works. u shouldnt notice too much of a difference and it'll work without a lag. well worth it
Ok, version 1.3 now supports your car. Redownload it off my site: http://www.linuxkiddies.com/bysin/navi/

Any chance you can help with the nag on this one?
Does the TSX nav have a audio and dialog box nag about entering unverified area?
Do you think it would be too much trouble to clean those out?

Altho it could be funny to install some sort of error screen or the BSOD so they think they broke it and spend time trying to fix it

When sega stopped shipping dreamcasts, all the extra Hitachi SH-4 200 MHz processors were shipped to Alpine to put in our cars. Those high quality processors cost Honda/Acura a whopping $31.70 USD each.

bysin,
Would you still be willing to open-source your code?
Sounds like you're a linux guy so I figured you wouldn't mind. Maybe it would help the rest of us find a way around the nag-screen OK button. Just curious.

Its really the only free mod you can get for the TSX.

The actual disclaimer text is in the rdata (resource data) section of the navi.exe.. its got nothing to do with the actual dialog so it wouldnt be too much help at all.

If you don't have a copy of photoshop to edit the Back.bmp You can always use Gimp. Its GNU licensed and can be installed on windows also. It has the same functions as photshop and most of the menu selection and menus are the same.

Just to add a data point to the list of background-mod success stories... 476x234x8bit (all 256 colors used) = 112464bytes = no startup delay on an 04 TSX using BN2HN18B.BIN. I used the CLI version of dumpnavi.
The brightness of the screen seems a little high. It still looks fine, but I think next time around I will try to make the image a little darker in photoshop to compensate.

I am still experiencing lag. I have a TL and the BIN file that gets loaded is BN2HH12C.BIN. There are only 6 of these BIN files on my DVD (3.30G, I think). Using the Gimp program recommended above, I was able to get my image down to the correct size. But there is still lag.
Did anyone else using the same BIN have luck? Should I reload to original image before trying the new one?

What not working ??? be specific.
Have you read every single word of readme.txt and bysin posts and follow it ?
(dont think you read much otherwise I wouldn't have to ask this: what is your BIN file ? hint: different model different BIN file"
