K23a1 Build

Humble performance is good shop. With all the K series with aftermarket cams they've dealt with, they should have been able to fix the knock issue. I'd guess its in the software on hondatas part. Otherwise it would not have been a problem for them. No need to take it to a "e-tuner". See what hondata says and try again. What valve lash did you use on intake and exhaust?

I ment when the 1st pass was made for a base line his fuel trims were all out of whack as he didn't even break 200 after he was all done tuning 261. And good job humble performance cause his setup is one of a kind huge bitch to tune obviously. And the fact that Hondata is going to be local is HUGE.

You guys hang on, I think the RDX just went viral!!! Hondata employees are going to be at Humble and the owner asked if I want to come and show them my setup. This could mean big things for our flashpro :wishing:

My god that torque curve is the weirdest thing I've ever seen. There is a serious fight going on in that ECU. Good luck getting it all sorted out, there is definitely some power in there waiting to come out. It does look like you're running out of turbo at the top end though...not sure you'll get much past 300 without some kind of upgrade there. Regardless, there's no reason you shouldn't be able to pump up the mid range to at least 300 torque though unless you're trying to protect the drive train. Ultimate passing power!

Oh yeah, just bought a used OEM Turbo and sending it to Evergreen turbo to get upgraded. They say they have seen 40+ gains with their upgrades.

I will be working on uploading the video tonight
I'm sure it can break 300's without the upgrade, we just need Hondata to make us a more users friendly tuner like K-pro. But, that will come soon I'm sure. After they see what's going on.
I think the earliest I can get in at the track will be the 29th, taking off work that day.

Just another suggestion as a potential HP gain before they do the work.
One more suggestion since you have tuning capabilities....E85 tune!
Like others, staying tuned as your build progresses. Excellent work so far!

Before you send out the OEM turbo for wheel upgrade (I'm assuming they are upgrading the size of the compressor wheel, correct?), you should ask Evergreen if they have any experience with the new(ish) Garrett GTX comp wheels. The GTX wheel has a different blade shape which allows for a wider compressor map (i.e. more ultimate turbo flow/horsepower capability). In other words, for the same wheel diameter, the GTX comp wheel will flow more air. Wonder if the GTX wheel will fit the space claim as your planned upgrade.

I asked my mechanic about the e85 and he suggested just running the water/meth now, then adjust it when the upgraded turbo comes in.

lookin good KenB!
hopefully you get the KS issue figured out, i would love to see it make around 300hp with the stock turbo.
numbers are one thing but are you happy with how strong it feels?

Thanks! I'm beside myself!! It pulls like an EVO or STI, it's crazy!! Can't wait to go back for the final tune, I'm sure we'll be looking at over 300.

I'm pretty sure I am getting better gas mileage. It doesn't boost as much while driving or climbing hills. This is a slight climb at 80mph. The boost never goes above the first level of the boost (as you can see the three levels here). But, pulls like hell when it goes over it!!! Love this smooth tune!!

Evergreen will be using a Billet Mitsu Comp Wheel.
