Hey guys,

I just replaced my starter and went in to turn it over and the ignition wont turn over (the key chime does chime), go to on, or accy.... not sure if I may have popped a fuse or what? The key inserts all the way but I can't turn it at all. I did of course make sure the steering wheel didn't lock and no dice... any suggestions before I have it towed to Acura service?

move your steering wheel back and forth as you try to turn the key.

I have tried that, however my steering wheel is locked... is it possible I need a new key cut? I'm running out of ideas...

as you turn it back and forth and turn the key, it will unlock.

Basically, turn your wheel in whatever direction has a bit of slack while also turning the key. If there is any tension in the steering wheel when locked, it may be difficult to turn the key.

I have tried moving the wheel slowly back and forth and still no luck. Luckily I have free towing so I hope to bring it to Acura for them to point out I'm an idiot, and not a 500$ fix.

Hey guys, so I want to thank you all for chiming in on this. I took it to Acura and it turns out I needed a new key! They believe the chip inside the actual key may have been damaged. So luckily $200 later and I'm driving home happily.
