Last night my week-old 5AT-Blue-NAV-TL ignition key wouldn't turn when I tried to start the car. After many no-result attempts of trying to turn the ignition key and of turning the steering wheel gently back and forth, a cellphone call to a friend solved the problem: turn the ignition key and simultaneously turn the steering wheel back and forth.

 

Actually you do not have to turn it back and forth. Turn it more in the locked position and then turn the key.

 

I only ever experience this in my 94 Legend's steering wheel, the steering wheel is usually locked up when it's in the center and key is off. After doing this once it's easy to deal with though. IMO, this is just a small issue.

So far, 04TL doesn't give me this issue yet.
