Hello. 2008 RDX instrument panel lights (tachometer and speedometer) turn on when the door is first opened with no key in ignition. The lights stay on even when driver removes key, exits and locks vehicle with key fob.
Only way to get the panel lights to turn off is to turn off the ignition, start the car again, turn it off and remove the key. A real pain...essentially have turn off the ignition, turn it back on and off every time to get the lights speedo and tach light to turn off, otherwise they will stay on and kill the battery.

Any advice or help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

 

I know it has this feature as a courtesy, but your's seems to be malfunctioning...
