Instrument panel lights?? Dimming?

Okay..I just noticed this today. When I was driving home at night. I noticed that the instrument panel lights dim a bit when the radiator comes on. I know this is normal..but on a new car?! I dunno...give me some feedback guys. Also..how long does the damn fan stay on?! mine is on ALOT..and it's so loud..what da fvck is wrong? or i could be imagining it tho.

oh yeah! I did the foglight mod! i'll post up pics later!

hehe, dunno if you are too picky or what ray, but i never feel any of the stuff you mentioned i didn't really notice my light dimming when the radiator comes on, but then again my radiator doesn't turn on that often

are you setting the temperature to some high values? i keep my temp at 68 in winter and 72 in summer and it's been working great. even when i am idling for a while the radiator doesn't come up that often, and it's soooo quiet too.

hehe, your car seems so problematic man

No seriously though, I've never had the lights dim in my car...ever. I dont know if you are so glad that you finally got the car and now you think its to good to be true or what? I think its fine dude...and if you think there is a problem, just take it to the dealer and tell then whats up.

Hmmmm......Well..mine is currently set at 0! I notice the lights do infact DIM when the fan comes on. and the fan comes on quite alot...hmm...maybe i should try to set the value to -3 and see what happens...This is pissing me off. WTF! I get a new car, and all this crap. I dont' think i'm being paranoid. hehe.....maybe just a little. my neighbor could hear the fan from the end of the driveway. Gotta take a long a$$ trip to Tustin Acura. fvck..i need some serious compensation for this.

I never noticed my lights dimming. I used to see the lights dim on my 97 Accord each time the A/C compressor kicks in.

The TLS has a pretty hefty alternator, and compensates aggressively for the A/C load by opening up the throttle (almost too aggressively). I'd be surprised if the voltage droops that much with the A/C kicking in.

Hmmm....this sucks..cause i notice it in my TL..maybe it needs a new battery cuz this one has been left there too long!

Yeah..man..when sitting at the light...the car keeps pulling cuz i don't hold onto the brake hard enough when the compressor turns on. can you please check to see if yours actually dim a bit? let me know tonight!

Mine does that too - the radiator fan will cycle on and off when the car is idle for any amount of time - when the fan cycles on the lights dim.

I have 11K on the TL and the lights dim occasionally when the A/C compressor kicks in but it aint a big deal to me. It just barely flickers...
