Unhappy Key Won't Turn

:surrender Ok, so I'm changing the ignition switch because once a month or so my 2000 TL won't start. Now the key won't turn. What did I do wrong? I looks like the immobilizer is keeping me from stealing my own car. Can you help me? :surrender

It's not just the steering wheel lock?

Hopefully its not what happened to my wife's Pilot. She accidently put our Ford Explorer key in the ignition. It stuck a little but she pulled it back out. When she put the Honda key in, nothing happened. When I got there I realized the immobilizer had activated, but apparently several of the pins in the ignition lock were damaged and they had to put it on a roll-back and take it to the dealer.

It cost us roughly $250 to have fixed.

Check your key first, see if there's anything wrong with it. I had trouble turning my key when i noticed it was slightly bent. like a tiny little bit.

Or try using your second set of key to see if it turns properly.

Hope this helps!
