I've told my wife that I want to buy a used Sienna our 3rd car.
Don't want no real SUV/Minivan crap for me. I don't want to drive it everyday. Neither does my wife.
I feel the need...
1. I still don't get why they didn't pair the in-house 8 DCT across the board instead of paying a fee to ZF for a less satisfying slusher in the six.
2. Dial up some more firmness in SPORT/SPORT+ pronto!!!
2. Bring back adjustable dampers.

Acura Management wants to position TLX to be attractive to the broader and safer conservative crowd.
But then, Acura Marketing wants to somehow go hip and target the younger demographic.
Acura just isn't getting it. It has the conflicts within the brand. That's the problem as far as I can tell.

1. Hire a better chief designer. My vote is pick off Peter Schreyer.
2. Stop this fucking plenum nonsense now.
3. Offer a sportier "Type-S" or whatever to engage the enthusiast in every sedan segment.
4. Bring more consistency across the brand line-up to differentiate it from a glorified Honda.
5. Offer at least one coupe and one convertible. Duh.
If I wasn't such a tightwad, I'd have left the brand years ago and thats the brutally honest truth. Acura should consider themselves lucky that guys like me that had NSX pics on the wall in college have still stuck around. Chasing the ghost of Senna only earns so many brownie points when their are so many great cars to be had now.

On the other hand there's the 7-DCT from the RLX but I'm not sure if that is applicable to non-hybrid powertrain.
Assuming the above two points are correct, then Honda had no choice but to work with ZF for the 9AT. I mean that's listening to demands right? People here have been begging Honda to just find a better AT elsewhere, as opposed to developing one in house. They did that and now they have the slushbox with the highest gear count in the segment, while being further away from being a glorified honda.

you should post that in the TLX section and they will discredit Jalopik as well.

I think they need to move down a few... get closer to where Goudy Honda is or where New Century BMW dealer is... near Atlantic Blvd.

LOL on the too hot comment. I wonder if that causes problems at the BMW dealer.

I don't know. Every time I've driven past Sierra Acura or stopped by to look around, it's always been empty. Weekday, weekend, morning, mid day, evening.... it doesn't matter. Empty.

I wish New Century had that problem, so i don't have to wait for 1 month to make an appointment.

Remember the Honda Passport/Isuzu Rodeo, Acura SLX/Isuzu Trooper, and 1gen Odyssey/Isuzu Oasis? Isuzu was (is still?) partly owned by GM, but those cars were nearly 20 years ago. The most recent sharing of tech was the J35 that was in the 1gen Saturn Vue.
As I said, that was quite a long time ago and I don't know the context surrounding your comment. But based on other posts in the TLX section, I wouldn't be surprised by that level of dumbfuckery over there.

Me too.
When I got my 3G TL, I thought my A-Spec lip kit would add some aerodynamic magic that it would have a chance to hang with my ex-gf's C55 AMG.
I remember she putting 10 bus length from dig to like 120.

nothing feels worse than when you turn the steering wheel and the car continue going straight.

Actually, there's one thing that's worse - when you step on the brakes and nothing (and I mean nothing) happens. When I was 18 I had a '76 Datsun pickup truck with drum brakes all around. One day, I had to slam on my brakes in an emergency situation and blew out all four wheel cylinders simultaneously. The pedal went straight to the floor with no pressure at all. That was a seriously sphinctered-up moment.

Prius drivers might think their feelings are worse when the gas pedal gets stuck.

Swerved and luckily no one was in the lane next to me. Missed the car in front of me by inches. Down shifted and pulled into a bank parking lot. Pulled the e-brake to stop the truck and sat there staring out the windshield for a few moments to gather my wits about me.
