Some douchebag shot at my wife's Pilot with a BB gun (by the look of it). Happened while she was parked at a school. Started as just a dent, but eventually the paint started flaking away. The damage is on the rear driver-side door; he was likely aiming for the window, but has pathetic aim.
While I'm getting that done, since they'll have to remove the bumper, I'll likely have the bumper itself replaced as well. It was deeply gouged when we bought the car. Since the bumper is plastic, and won't rust, it hasn't been a priority.

i feel like no one goes on the forum anymore haha
battery went yesterday, probably cause i kept letting it die when the trunk was constantly open and the light was always on.
went with a kirkland battery from costco, hopefully it holds up well.
those Acura batteries are a shit show

Burning Brakes
Not certain...I thought it was 24F. But when I went to Costco, they didn't have the size i needed, and the guy who handles batteries said that my size only came in during the summer months as a marine type battery. Said it wouldn't be ideal for Edmonton winters.

'06 TL Nav DVD Drive
Does anyone here in Edmonton know of a good place to get my Nav DVD drive repaired? My screen doesn't work at all (stays backlit, just blank). I installed another screen with the same result, so it's not the screen unit. I can't change any settings or the clock, which is extremely annoying!

I really want to. Too expensive for me to buy new from the states. Trying to see if someone would sell it to me used and that is not going so well right now 😅

Topline Automotive
This thread has been quiet for too long, so I thought I'd add something.
We ended up taking my wife's Pilot to Topline for the body damage (see earlier in the thread), and I have to say, they did really nice work. Rates were reasonable, and the fellow I dealt with there (Alan) really worked with me to make sure everything was completed smoothly. I would definitely recommend them (though hopefully, the current status of the road notwithstanding, none of you needs a body shop any time soon).

Winter tires
Hey guys I'm looking for some winter tires possibly rims and wondering if anyone has suggestions for brand/model and also for places with a decent price.
My current stock wheels on my 12 TL awd are the all season 245/45r18. I could either throw some winters on those and get some nice summer rims or buy separate winters and just use those rims for summer (cheaper but boring). Let me know if you guys have any ideas. Also wondering if I use winters on my stock 18s if they would perform significantly worse than 225s on 17 inch rims. I know smaller and more narrow is usually better for winter. Thanks !

I'd would personally buy winter tires for the stock and buy some summer rims when the time comes.
Costco best price, people always say tirerack etc etc but with our low dollar/shipping + I've heard of people receiving slightly USED tires from them, Costco from what i've seen personally is cheapest.
I personally run Michelin - X-Ice Xi2s for the last 3 seasons and I love them! I think the current model is the Michelin - X-Ice Xi3s. Also $70 rebate if you buy a set of 4 right now.

Costco also has the best price that I've seen for summer/winter changeovers, but you can only get them to do it if one or both sets are bought through them. Unfortunately, they don't have a tire storage program, and it appears they still don't take appointments for changeovers; only first come, first serve.

Yea I was planning on going with the new x ice tires no matter what, nothing but good reviews about them. Costco is on the top of my list. I could put x ice on my 18 inch stock rims for $1100 from Costco or I could get a separate set of winters 17 inch with x ice from acura dealer for $1500. Then I could sell the stock wheels with almost new all season tires on them. not sure which route to go. Either way I'm thinking I want to buy some nice 5 spoke rims this spring for summer driving

fcfs isnt bad if you do it early before every idiot that waits until a huge snowfall, i've had mine on since thanksgiving weekend.
on the negative side, i'm pretty positive that costco is the one that cross threaded my lugs... also i asked them to patch a flat when i changed over, and all i got was "FLAT" written on the tire, needless to say, tire was flat when I went to put on the winters...

thats pretty expensive from the dealer, considering the price differences when you go from 18 to 17

This offer cannot be combined with any other promotion or program and is not applicable at Costco

Hey everyone how's it going? Haven't been on this forum in a long, long time. Put my TL away for the winter as I got myself a SUV to drive.
Curious to see if anyone is interested in buying (4) stock 04-06 TL wheels with TPMS installed. They are in good condition and would be great as a winter set, which I had used for 2 winter seasons. The TPMS sensors were only used for 2 winters.
I also have a blizzak ws80 tire that was used for 1 winter season, size 235/45/17. I have 3 other blizzak ws60 tires but they didn't seem to hold air when it was really cold out. Not sure what's up with that but I would sell them for significantly cheaper. If anyone is interested, please message me.
