Hey man would you do another set of headlights? Mine haha I would help you out, I did a set before on a VW golf but I am scared to do it myself on the TL. I need someone who has done it before on this car. I just want them blacked out, no LEDs. I do wanna replace the projector lenses with ZKW-r and I already have those.
ill do it all for 200 but ill need your headlights for 2 days
Most help I'd need with is taking off the front bumper and putting it back on. Then either baking the lights or using a heat gun. I can't put lights into my oven that's the problem. And taking off the orange piece. Did you put back that chrome strip? And how did you attach it back on there?

Taking off the front bumper is that much of a pita? I think I might have to remove it when I fix my cracked fog light lens. Plus I do want to cover up my amber in the headlights with CF so it seems like I'll have to take it off for sure.
I don't know why but for me it was a pain. Vincent, when we do these one of these weekends. I will let you know when, then if you have time you can come help us out and see what it takes to do it. Then I can help you when you wanna do it on your car or something. You wanna wrap the amber in CF? Not take that piece out? I kind of wanna do that too but I need the type-s reflectors and that's impossible to find

Another detailing order arrived today. I went to homedepot earlier and got a wet/dry vac and the detailing kit attachments. Awwww yeahhhhh.
Awesome sounds good. Yeah I think I'll go CF for now because if I ever want amber back down the road, at least it's reversible. Removing the amber on my diffuser means no going back, unless I want to whip out the super glue. Yeah those type-s reflectors are quite rare. USR sells the cleared diffusers if you really want. I'm guessing you could probably wrap the end of the clear diffuser to make it look like you're covering up the amber piece. I'm not sure if that would work out though.

holly shit man more stuff is coming in? crazy haha When are you gonna start doing your car?
I am pretty sure that you are gonna have to take off that diffuser, then wrap it, then glue it back into place. Unless I am looking at this all wrong. And yea I saw those clear ones but really, that's just a waste of money. He want's some ridiculous price for those and i am not gonna waste money on that. I like the cleared out look too, leaving the signal reflector chrome, then blacking otu the rest of the headlight. I think it looks good too.

There is a member that did his tl-s headlights with cf wrap only around the amber, I should pm him and see how he went about that. Lmao yeah around $100 for those plastic pieces.Yeah this order was all of a sudden because there were sales. I still have to place 2-3 depending on stock and availability. I'll start doing my car probably as soon as everything arrives. I might be going around tommorow getting quotes for the damage on my rear bumper and quarter panel. I want to get that fixed up so it's not such an eyesore. Plus I have a bunch of hail dents that I want to get rid of, but last time it got quoted $500. A bit out of my price range
Hmm I thought the diffuser would just come apart after the headlight is baked and opened up. I didn't think it would be glued onto the headlight housing

I got 2 dents on the part right above the passenger side doors. I don' tknow how they got there but I might wanna get it fixed too. If it's not 500$ haha They have those Dent removals that don't hurt the paint and what not. Where did you get hail damage man?
and USR wants 120$ for those clear diffusers + shipping and duties and shit hahaha Something is seriously wrong with this company haha
No I don't think so man, it's attached there and oyu have to cut off the little plastic tab, or break it off to take them out. Then glue it back in there.

My car got hit by that Calgary hail storm back in either last July or August. When I went to buy it, the seller got a quote of $500 to remove all the dents but he didn't have time to do it so he deducted $500 from the cost of the car. If only I had gone to buy it a few months earlier it would have been safe
. I'm a bit skeptical on those DIY dent removers. Although I really don't want to shell out $500 to fix them up. Any forum members here do body work?
I don't know about that, that's too dark I think. I think it needs a little color in there, at least reflection haha Maybe night shade the orange a little. I don' tknow I am looking around for ideas
im getting a new(used) tranny!! woooo! civic si lsd tranny.. hopefully all goes well.. was told i just need to get the mounting plate taken off my old tsx tranny n put onto the si one... getting a good deal on the tranny too... 1000 with only 30k on it.. unless anyone has heard of why not to use an si tranny please let me know asap!!! also anyone know of a good place to get a new clutch? found an exedy oem one for 325... ebay is cheaper but i need it by mon-tues...
Myron I'd take out all the amber. But that's just me since I'm not a fan of it. Maybe a light tint of nightshades would look okay if you want a bit of amber showing.
Foglights are cool. Rock chips cracking them are not. Getting new oem ones are ridiculously expensive. I'm going to be cheap and try to go the DIY route with lexan glass. http://www.homedepot.ca/webapp/wcs/s...k=P_PartNumber
Anyone have experience doing this?

So I am thinking this one, but no orange. Blacked out and leaving the chrome reflector chrome.

Or maybe this one.

I don't have switchbacks so I don't know how that's gonna look with just normal bulbs. In either setup. In the leaving the orange setup maybe using some night shade on the orange might be good. I can't look through 1000s of pages of people with their headlights done so if someone sees something like that 2nd pic on a silver car post it up.

it depends where you wanna do this? I have a garage and shit so we can do it at my place next weekend. Preferably saturday, but sunday works too. I just want it to be done over the weekend sometimes because I need the car for work on week days.
Did you use the over to heat them up or a heat gun? I have a heat gun at home and an oven haha
Also PM me about the things I need to buy. I know I need some sealant to seal those headlights and some black high temp paint. If you have some of that left over let me know so I don't go buying a whole can for no reason. What else would I need?

From the threads I've read, nobody has complained about burn marks. I don't know if the cutout would be able to lie over top of the glass and still fit flush with the bumper though. Since your glass is still in good shape, why not get some 3M protection on it so you won't have to go through another set of fogs?
im gonna talk to crystal glass see if they can put a thicker glass in it.. also any feed back from anyone on me putting the SI tranny in my car???
i've tried manyyy diff over lays, companies claim it won't burn, sure enough they all doo...i have hid in my fog, even tho there supposed to be cooler then halogen bulbs, still burns the shit outta the over lays n makes it look like shit
