rotors and ss lines are finally in- some pics here
http://www.utdallas.edu/~linc507/rotora/
we had some trouble bleeding the brakes after installing the lines. the pedal still feels a bit mushy, although it stops just fine.
we must have bled each caliper over 15 times, and it still feels mushy- that, or we've pumped the pedal too many times to know the difference anymore and i'm just second-guessing myself
btw, does anyone know if the abs has a separate bleeder valve that we're overlooking?

yeah, the mod day was interesting.. problems left and right, but it's expected when ya work on a honda . of course, we had some problems with danny's bro's alti, but only cause the car had 150k mile rotors on it! we need to check into this bleeding issue with the duck's car...
and boy do I look like shit in those pics.. i'm in all but one... and i'm hidden in one of the pics...

ok, doin some searchin myself I found a DIY write up by our good buddy Austin. The thread is on AW so I made a tiny url for it.

we did the bleeding in reverse order... wonder if that's the reason...

I'd like to thank Casper the workaholic for helping me (doing the work) with my bro's brakes. It was a fairly simple process now that I've seen it done. But like Casper said those rotors were a bitch to get off. But the new rotors and pad felt great, no more shaking and shimmying... nice and smooth.
Then of course the next day, my bro decides to drift into a left turn lane and run head on into the median and blow both drivers side tires and break the wheels. He was adjusting the mirror and not paying attention... dumb ass...

3rd actually, 4 all together. He's a horrible driver.
He had 2 mishaps in the Taurus. (1) he changed lanes into someone, not a lot of damage to either cars, and the other lady never maid a claim. (2) he decided to flip the car and total it. No one else involved thank god.
Now with the Altima. (3) He tries to answer the phone while taking one of those U turns from service road to service road and goes into a ditch. No one else involved, minor bumper damage. (4) Blowing out tires while trying to adjust mirrors.
I know the last 3 have been this year, I think the first one was a while ago, but it could have been this year too. LOL this kid is one shitty driver.

hey Casper, you got any hook ups on Altima wheels? We're having a hard time finding 2 new wheels, and nissan wants $167 each for new wheels, just those black steel ones. :shakehd: got any suggestions?

DNE has a few hookups around town. One including a Discount Tire in Irving. Any Discount Tire should be able to get you the wheels cheaper than Nissan... here's a link to the post about the one in Irving.

Hope that helps.
And aftermarket wheels are hard to find cause the bolt pattern is 4x114.3 which is very rare...

Believe it or not I just got back to Dallas from New Hampshire. Party was canceled because of the Nor-easter. Flight canceled Sunday, 2 flights canceled Monday and so we took a flight out to St. Louis and got there to spend the night about 10pm. Back to the airport this morning where a ticket agent almost caused us to miss our flight. There was no one in line when we arrived at the airport and she wanted to put us on an earlier flight, but it took her 35 minutes to rebook us. AA ticket agents SUCK!
I haven't seen that much snow in a long time and that was in the mountians at a sky resort. What a mess!
I guess the cold weather followed us because when we arrived it was warm and the temp has been droping ever since.
Sorry

OK, I need some help in making a decision about a mod. Should I replace the tail pipe from the CAT to the muffler, its stock now. I think I will go to a 2 1/2". Or should I do the pully thing?
Pipe or Pullies?

i think the cold weather really is affecting my gas milage. I figured my last tank was just because I was enjoying the extra power. But this tank I drove like normal and I'm probably gonna end up with only 350 miles on this tank. WTF?
