some are like this one and really grainy...

others are really blurry b/c I can't manage to keep my hands still on higher lens open time.

can someone explain to me the camera functions and what they mean again? I think I'm doing several things wrong.

On my sony (Directed at mantis) there's these 3 choices. one is a moon, one is a moon w/ a picture, and the final is a picture by itself... what does that do?

what exactly is ISO?

what is EV?

what does sharpness do when I go up in numbers and down?

when would I used the diff. white balance settings? there's a lightbulbs, a florescent bulbs, acloud, and a sun.

what's the diff in focus. I have 7.0, 3.9, 1.0, 0.5, center AF, and multi AF.

I never use anything other than the lowest ISO because it produces the smoothest pics (less grain). ISO is actually film speed. If you bought film b4 you know there's usually 100, 200, and 400 film. Those numbers represent how sensitive the film is to light. The higher the number, the more sensitive, the less light you need to produce an image. But the trade off is in grainyness. 400 is more grainy than 200 and 100. And there is actually 800, 1600, and 3200 film too, but those are mainly used by pros.

Now in a digi cam you obviously don't have film, so i don't really know what's going on when you change the ISO, but it represents the same thing. The higher the # the more grainy it will be but the less light you will need.

If there is not enough light next time, either use a flash, or a tripod, or sit on the ground or lean on something to keep the camera steady with a slower shutter speed. Or set the aperture at the lowest #, that lets the most light in as well.

Don't know what EV is, sounds like a sony thing.

I never messed with the sharpness settings to see there effects.

The white balance is for differing light situations. Indoors, indoors with florescent lights, outdoors with a cloudy sky, and with a sunny sky. I usually just leave that on auto.

Don't know what those focus #s mean, but the AF is auto focus. Center AF probably means that it only focuses on what you have in the center of the frame. Multi AF will probably pic multiple focus points.

Hope some of that helps. Your camera's manual will also be informative, although probably a long read.

:noob:

i hope you're kidding...

but im going to entertain your question cause ive got nothing better to do.

:fag: is a fag because it symbolizes someone snapping their fingers in a flamboyant motion.

:w-hat: = what because its the letter "double u" plus the image of a hat thus producing "what"

nope I wasn't kidding, I'm just a dumbass apparently.

I get the :w-hat: but I don't see the snapping of the fingers on the :fag: it just looks like he's punching himself in the eye.

:fag: This file name is monicle, which is a old time eye correction glass for one eye. Not sure how that is "gay", unless someone thinks it represents an eye patch for "butt pirates"

No idea. SOmething specific to your camera?

what does sharpness do when I go up in numbers and down?
Again, not a normal camera setting

when would I used the diff. white balance settings? there's a lightbulbs, a florescent bulbs, acloud, and a sun.
This is genreally for the type of lighting condition your are in. Most times just leave it on auto, but you can force it to know it's outside sunny, outside cloudy, inside floresent, etc. It allows the camera to not have to guess during the picturing taking, but know what it needs to adjust the shutter speed and aperature rate for.

what's the diff in focus. I have 7.0, 3.9, 1.0, 0.5, center AF, and multi AF.
Not sure about the numbered values, but the center and mutli AF are auto focus. You probably have more than one "box" in the view finder. Center will base it's foucus off the item in the center box, while multi will average it's focal point between all the boxes.

Damn, wife hit a giant city titty, now front right tire has a bubble in it.. Anyone have some stock Michelin 215/50/17's for sale? I might even just change out the rims. Any recommendations on any other tires if I go and replace the whole set?

Danny,

Thanks man. I got the carbon fiber hood from MB Autosport, but i wouldn't order anything from them. Horrible customer service. It is an OEM VIS carbon fiber hood. Other people sell them, just have to search. I got it for like $500, but it has a defect in the carbon fiber. Really chaps my ass, but what can you expect for such a cheap carbon fiber hood. All the other hoods are in the range of $1500 which is just obsurd.

The silver looks awsome with the carbon fiber.

Yeah i was bored so i took a few pics of the house.

elbo,
if you want some good summer performance tires, the Toyo T-1 S is awesome, also the Bridgestone S03 is good. civic has the S03s on his CL, and mantis had the Toyos b4, as well as RUF.

$1500 I think a $500 hood with a defect is better than a $1500 hood.

I'm really starting to like those cars, especially now that I've driven one. Gives you a new appreciation for how fun a car can be.

Good Guys TMS Show

Just got back from the show and there where some NICE cars. There is a 57 Chevy on a latemodel Corvette frame that is just awsome! Also I ran in to a friend of mines Dad that had his 49 Merc out there. He wone the whole thing in 2000. Its a 49 Merc body on a Mark VII frame with the Mark VII interior. Convertabile.
Very nice.

There where still cars coming in and I saw about half today. I started in the back so we can start in the frount tomorrow Ruf. Should be a blast.

I know the website said no cans or bottles but they told me at the gate it was cool so I took BEER. :pee:

You just need to come up for air once in a while . . . . it's a leading cause of baldness . . .
