Anyone want to go to BJ's in Addison? I haven't been there in a while. They had some good food but anyone wanna go? If we are gonna do this on Saturday lets decide where we might want to go eat. For those that haven't been there...Other options are welcome too.

Nice bump for more people. Anyone want to join me in eating pizza wed night lol. But I will get the next saturday meet kinda sorted out. We could meet some new members, get some grub, and then probably get some photos. Then after that we have cars and coffee. So yea lots of opportunities coming up but I will post up in another thread for the meet on the 19th to gauge what people want to do.

I'm going to be day to day . . . the spousel unit has a busy schedule planned through the rest of the year.

I also have a bunch of car repairs lined up for the next few weeks. The 4Runner's brake light on the instrument panel is going on and off. Need new tires, rim repair more on the TLS, and I found another Prelude and it needs a few things as well so I'll be having all kinds of fun.

Anyway, I'll watch for the times and try and make one or more.

Can you explain that? Remember I'm a married man. Maybe that's why guys like Tiger get in to so much trouble.

Oh, looking at getting these new shoes. Trying all season to see if they'll do better in the cold. I've had no luck with the highend performance summer tires when the weather gets cold. Hopefully these will do well.

Why 225? Why not inch up to like 235 or 245. Try tireseasy.com they might have a cheaper price ruf.

I've been thinking about doing 235s, but I already rub on the back with the225s so I've been leary of doing that. Maybe you and I could get both our rear fenders rolled. On the 245s it's pushing it on the rims 17x7 rims.

On the DT part, I have a brother-in-law deal so I always get a good deal. As for TireEasy, I did look at them, but I couldn't find the weight for many of the tires. Remember, I'm the all about the light weight wheels & tires . .

For sure you should feel my setup. But yea I already rolled mine I had to to clear the 245 I have on there now with the aggressive offset on my wheels. I can help you roll your rears though if you want. Its really easy.

Any of you guys have a mini meet this Sunday eve? I caught an AM & WDP 3G TL's going south 35 from Ft. Worth to Waco (lost sight before Waco). Both were very distinctive.

The AM was debadged, aftermarket wheels, lowered, catback, ~30k HID's (very purple) & Yellow fogs (LA Lakers combo), I think type-s bumper & trunk lip as well.

The WDP also looked like it had a slight drop and had ~12k HID's (slightly purple), with paint matched mudflaps. I could be slightly off on the description.

Okay, I'm 99 44/100% sure I'll go with 235s if they'll work on my rims. Found some new Toyo's - Extensa's that are All Season and are pretty light for a 235/17.

Let me know if you want to roll them. The only thing I do not guarantee is chipping paint =D. Thats the slight issue but shouldnt be much as long as we heat it up first. I have a few chips in mine but they are behind the fender and you cannot see it.

Well discussed the 235s with my tire buddy and he's against me putting them on my 17x7" rims . . . the tires support 7.5"-9" rims and the 7" would 'pull the beads in too much cause the tire to not lay flat and ride heavily on the center section of the tire oh well.

I may go with 225/50/17s . . they're wider than the 225/45/17s I'm running now, but a bit taller and heavier. Don't have a lot of options . . unless I get new rims and that's not going to happen anytime soon. Oh well.

As for rolling the fenders, I may not need to do that . . but we'll see.

I had 235/45/17 on my 17x7s and thought they were perfect... Wider footprint and keeps the overall ratio almost exactly the same as factory specs. Scratch a line into the inside of the fender to prevent chipping if you're gonna roll them.

So you didn't have any uneven wear problems? The concern is that the tire would bow and the wear would be on the center tread. There is one more issue in that all 235s aren't exactly the same and some are a bit wider that others . . . so do you remember what tire you were running? I can compare them to the ones I'm looking at and if they are the same I'll chance it.

I had Riken Raptors on the front and Kumho Ecsta (forgot which ones) on the back. One of the Riken tires disappeared after only 4000 miles (turned out to be a defective tire), the other one lasted close to 30k miles. The Kumhos were the best bang for the buck, but the Rikens weren't too bad either. As far as uneven wear though... just kept everything aligned properly, tires inflated, and all was good.

Hey trance, I noticed on your license plate, did they consider the "-" a 6th character, or not for it?

I'm interested in a custom 7-letter plate, but that only seems possible through an organization.

Hey trance, I decided I wanted to paint my grill like yours, where did you get the extra grill from? And how much was the grill and how much was it to get painted? I was just going to take my to David McDavid to get mine painted...did they do a good job. Then I am going to paint the emblems (front and back) black chrome using black paint. Where can I get the correct black paint to use for the emblems?

trance he took it to a dealer, I didn't know which one, so I guessed David McDavid. He said it ran him 70 bucks, but if I can go somewhere besides the dealer that has anthracite metallic as a paint, I might go there, if it is cheaper. trance what dealer did you get yours painted at?

As long as you take it off beforehand too that would decrease the removal process cost but if you don't trust yourself let them do it!

Well if we want to at least park together. My hopeful ass thinks that the turnout is either gonna be great (out of towners etc) or its gonna be medium based to where there is enough cars showing but not jam packed you know. But I dunno name a date and time for us to pre meet and we can head over there. Prob better to meet somewhere off of Preston/Spring creek intersection. There is a small shopping center right before it in that area we can all meet up then roll together.

I think if we wanna meet, it should be at 7:45. There is a Kohl's at the SE corner of Preston and Spring Creek. We can meet there at 7:45 and caravan to the dealership about half a mile west. Sounds good?
