Thank you sir. Would you have time tomorrow trance? I just pulled off my wheel today. The lower control arm bushing is out of whack. Need to do a lil more research to see if anything is bent (steering wheel is not straight too [offset about 15 degrees to the left]). Everything seems fine for now but Wont know until I put a straight set of wheels on there.

Oh yea this video made me pee a little

So I assume at this time that most of you know HIN is cancelled for Dallas...However on October 17, 2009 there will be two meets on the same day. One early on and one later. Details below:

Stance of the Union:
The title should state it. This is a statewide meet we should have a bit of out of towner's for this event. One of my good friends Ben is organizing this meet calling out everyone who has aggressive, flush, low fitment. It is an invite only meet to show but everyone is welcome to attend. If you guys have seen the hellaflush meets in Cali then you kind of know where this meet is going. There will be a film crew out there and so on. If you think your fitment is aggressive enough let me know and I will contact Ben and see if he will pass you to show. Information for the event is below.

Time: 12PM - 4PM
Location:
Cobb Tuning
1200 Placid Ave
Suite 550
Plano, TX 75074

Now the next event of the day is later in the night. It will be called NOS energy nights since HIN is cancelled. This meet will be hosted by NOS and 16niss. Just a gathering of people to show up and meet up. Details I am not sure yet but I will be sure to update you guys. Here is the info on where its going to be and so on:

When:
Saturday, October 17th
8:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Where:
LA Fitness parking lot
6101 K Ave
Plano, TX 75074-2554

I dunno they usually have some meets over in Arlington which is kinda closer out of town but I dunno. Maybe its just the amount of people around the area? I dunno.

Im not a big fan of just any car meet. However I do like the cars and coffee meet.

Other than that I would much rather get us AcuraZine guys together.

Where are you at exactly?

That is true trance. I attend a bunch of meets haha so I can tell you some of the good and bad ones. I think the stance of the union is gonna be a great meet. There will definitely be some crazy cars out there for this meet. Not your typical crowd of lowered imports with fart cans. This is more of a I guess you can say classier meet than a normal Wednesday night meet in Dallas. We are having track day October 18, 2009 again at crandall. The weather looks lovely if you guys want to go so far but we will see if the weather changes. No precipitation and a high of 70. Perfect track weather and if you want to get some cold times in. I might not go because of my car but I will be with others. I see where you are coming from though Trance. Sometimes the local meets piss me off because of how stupid some of the kids are when they do stupid shit in the lot. Anyway whens the next big Azine meet?

Trance you think I can borrow those wheels some time this coming week whenever you get the time?

Oh shit big Stars fan; maybe they'll be handing out Stars tickets? . Wonder if it being on Halloween will affect the turnout.

And yea I'm coming from Arlington so that is why I'm just wondering why the meets are always in North Dallas.

Damn! My buddy found out tonight that the plastic "casing" or whatever behind the passenger seat is coming off from the bottom. Seems also that some of the stitching has come off from the rear, driver's side door.

Hopefully Goodson Acura won't rip my bank account a new one getting this fixed.

As I recall that is a recall Acura had. They replace the clips in there with better ones and do something else. I need to find the Service bulletin but I am pretty sure that is a recall. They had a few TL's that had that issue.

went to austin this past weekend and did the lime creek drive. it was fun! had to do the run twice because each time we got halfway through and there was someone that slowed us down. it was me, 2 miatas, 2 nice audis (like a4's or a5's I forget) and an s2k.

i also had my rear deck lid stolen off my car while it was sitting in the hotel parking lot overnight. bastard! no damage to the car they just pulled the thing off and it even left the mounting bolts so who knows what condition its in after that.

Sorry to hear that man! I really wonder how they did that though...Those two bolts usually do a good job. Prob some kid wanting to put it on his little civic. Anyway sounds like you had fun in Austin. How were the 265? And I hate when people slow you down on LC it just screws the run up. Hopefully you get it fixed soon! and its really easy which is the great part! Just re 3m'd my rear spoiler a couple weeks ago since the sides were starting to stick up.

Hey Nail. Since you seem pretty knowledgeable on this subject, any idea of which strip in the metroplex is best for 1/4 miles? And maybe when the best day to go is?

I'm thinking about going Saturday, but I figure they'll all be packed, so I might go Tuesday.

We are thinkin about going to the track on Friday...They are having motorcycle comps now at dallas raceway on Sundays. We went this past week and only got 2 runs in. I dunno about this week since its motor madness. But Friday is Test N tune (6-midnight). I think Dallas Raceway would be pretty close to you since it is out in Crandall, TX (dallasraceway.com). I might go out there this week but still debating.

Anyway I would recommend dallas raceway...new facilities and its a great venue....Heres a lil pic of some of the track lol...

Oh yea this is the first time we have gone on a friday (if we are able to fix up my buddies car this week). Hopefully lots of competition out there. We used to do it every sunday and be able to hot lap the track. My only concern is how much longer my clutch is going to last. Thats the only thing that worries me for now since thats a pretty pricey part.

Friday Night is easily doable for me as I'll be off work by 4. I was thinking Ennis, but then I've heard they've got a big competition going on. I'd also hit up the track outside Rockwall, but the people that run there have some huge egos.

I'm guessing Dallas Raceway though, is around $15-20 for a few runs, right?

aaaaahhh

Well . . . MEGA RATS! My oldest just had a wreck on the way to school this morning in the Prelude. It's pretty bad and because of its age/value could be on the edge of being totalled. Hope not as that would put us back in the car search phase

Basically he slid in to the car in front when they slammed on the brakes, and he said his ABS didn't kick in. He didn't hit them real hard, but the person behind really messed up and slammed him hard. Good news is that everyone is safe, no injuries. What is weird is that his airbag didn't deploy.

Oh well, the odds are it was bound to happen.

Jeez, I'd love to go . . but the car's still not running right. Tried to fix the exhaust leaks this past weekend, but there's still one. And I still have that weird shudder/miss/vibration problem . . . especially under load in higher gears/speed. I'm still thinking it could be tranny or axle related.

Horsepower : About 122k

Rick: Should be 20 to run all night unless something comes up...There are usually pretty quick cars out there. Recently I have been seeing a few imports showup. There are slow domestics out there such as v6 stangs and so on lol.

RUF: How bad is the damage? As long as no frame damage it should be ok but still that year car will probaby be a total loss. You can always buy it back and collect the rest of the money but dunno how you feel about that. The airbag prob didnt deploy because it was low speed...Also if that car had ABS honda wasnt all that great with braking systems back in the day....Glad to hear everyone is ok though.
