just hope that the guy that does your inspection don't have a good snout... they may do a visual if you have an aftermarket exhaust or he smells something fishy...

but if i remember correctly, those guys at the inspection stations were d-bags anyway...

If you had something smelling off as in a rich condition the CEL will throw either way so it doesnt matter if the inspector can smell it. When I worked at my buddies shop they never visually checked for a cat especially in obd2 vehicles. obd1 was another story. OBD2 all it checks are the sensor monitors and so on to see if everything is operating right. If it does then you pass no questions asked. OBD2 is more computer based unlike OBD1 where you have to roll the car on the dyno and smog it on the mini dyno.

Might go underdrive then as I think the stock audio system in the car is more than enough. Has a great bass for a stock system, imo, so I have no plans to change any of it.

Also don't plan on SC'ing since the extra horses gained don't seem to be worth it.

I got mine done at mobil 1 and they did it quick. Took like 20min. Didn't sniff my exhaust but I did watch him stall my car that was an eventful day (thought my shifter was in neutral but it wasnt =D I love how short my shifter throw is). He just did visual pull up and bam. Other than that everything didn't take long at all. I also had a Comptech Cat back and an Injen Intake.

Well, no offense, but I would expect you to pass. I'm waiting to hear where Silver has his done though because we both share R-V6's Race Pipe.

But, then again, by November, I might just have it upgraded to a Hi-Flow Cat instead along with ATLP or R-V6's J-Pipe V2.

Its all g. I was gonna get the RV6 pre cat delete also but seems like they are still out of stock. Anyway shouldnt be too bad unless the person really wants to rip you off. Either way I dont think he can see your cat that well unless he inspects it since we do have all those covers. just sayin you barely notice mine haha and they are stock because of all the plastic.

And onto the next subject I will be out at the Wed night meet and whoever else is going. I will be out there around 9.

car exhaust does not smell any different with the race pipe. In fact the exhaust doesn't even sound loud at an idle and not much louder from the initial start so it shouldn't give away any clues.

I know of a place that I can take it that it won't be an issue. I'm not sure if we are making too much of an issue out of it or not. I'm willing to say it's not going to be a big deal. I was going to take my car in that first weekend in May so we are only a week+ away from knowing.

Sorry guys . . . been really busy lately trying to get some business going, so I guess I did't make it.

BTW, ran in to some guy with a black Accord coupe with all headlights and tail lights blacked out, and a Jotech badge on the side, sounded good. He messed around a bit, got a bit crazy at one point . . . so I had to catch up and . . . well beat him.

Anyway, maybe next week.

Yea I should take better ones this weekend. Claybar messed up my paint grr need to buff the car now for sure (Some minor particles of something stuck in it). Might do that some time this week. Anyway tonight wasnt too bad lots of slow cars out though. It was a fun night though we found some fast cars. Anyway I will be out on Sunday at Coco Tan to check it out. Its a big lexus meet but all are welcomed hope to see some acura folk out there.

Half the cars out there aren't even worthy of being photographed. Many of them aren't unique at all, and are just the same Imports/Domestics that all have the same mods. Shit, 30% of those cars out there can be beat by us since a lot of them spend all their money on the exterior, and then either have an intake, headers, or exhaust that only slightly bumps up there power.

The only ones worthy are the 'Vettes, Vipers, Luxury cars (BMW's, Lexus', and those bloody Acura's), and a small percentage of the imports; mainly ones fully modded or have nice swaps.

The one night RUF showed up there were quite a bit of nice classic americans with some nice old school vdubs showing. I am surprised this following week some nice vdubs pulled up including and old school bus. I didnt have my camera on hand though.

Im right off 635 and 35 and Im lookin for somethin that is near me, but Im willin to drive the extra mile if its a lil far as long as the work is good and the price is right.

Anyway a nice tint shop would be moonshadow in garland. I have had my previous tint done by them. If you check on dallasimports.net there are also a few people on there that do tinting and will come to you. They are usually pretty reasonable with price also.

Acura is not really that big...Infiniti was there before and they were the only other crew that had a big showing. If only 2 cars show up they arent gonna broadcast it. Anyway most of the people I know will be there so they say its ok if others come. Just making sure the weather holds up thats the only issue.

Just curious. I know this is an acura forum but does anyone have an Infiniti M35 of some sort? My friend wants to see if a muffler will fit on the m35 properly.

Yes finally my brakes came in =D. The ss lines have been in for a while but I decided to do it at the same time since its all in the same spot. Hopefully I will get these in by tomorrow if not wednesday I need to get my vac pump back!

Basically Techna Fit - SS lines (got them for like 75 bucks or so new =D) and the Racing Brake two piece rotor with the ET500 front pads.
