I just wanted to send a huge thank you to NBP_Baller for the help yesterday. I went to change my spark plugs closest to the firewall and the boot connected to the coil came loose and was stuck on the top of the spark plug inside the spark plug tube. I spent a few hours saturday night trying to remove the boot. He came over to my house and helped me out. He was able to get more of the boot and and compress it enough to get the spark plug wrench on it. Whew what a relief. Thank you again for all of the help.

What's going on fellas, I just got a used rear aspec bumper for my 2005 TL but it did not come with any other parts (no brackets, screws or bolts). I really don't know where to go from here, should I go to the dealer to see if they have any pieces or is anyone able to help me out with the install I'd greatly appreciate it!

Well IMA prob take them off one of these days, gotta go wide! Been doing a ton of mods recently instead of new wheels. Headlights and tailights/finish my system is in the process. Got everything I need except for some paint and butyl tape. Diffusers-check, V3tritons-check, set of base 04-06 and 07-08 tails-check... full system all bought too. Check out my progress thread. Gonna freshen it up tonight!

Outstanding progress thread! Man I bought +33 offset on my wheels when I had a base tl, and then I traded for a type S. Now I'm stuck with some 18x8.75 +33 hahaha I've been trying to get rid of them for some time now but no one wants them lol. My rears are 18x9.75 +20 though ;]
What size are yours?

Just an FYI. It is Fast Friday's on obviously Friday August 22,2014 out at Ennis. I will be out there with a few friends. Everybody is more than welcome to join also. It could be a little meet and greet if you want. Event starts at 7pm. I will try to make it asap when I get off work.

I could probably do it for ya. I used to do bodywork and ive put lots of grilles in Cadillacs when I worked at Sewell Cadillac. Not that hard, im sure a RonJon is one that needs minor adjustments to fit properly. No big deal tho

You guys ever change out the front lower control arm bushings on a 3G TL? Commonly known as compliance bushings? I was thinking about doing them soon and was just curious if anyone made the tool to press the bearings or had any tips.

I'm up in Minnesota so no Hot Import nights for me, wanted to go though. I've done the compliance bushings on one car. Huge pain in the ass. Did em for MidnightCivic on his 08 Type S. Are yours torn? The control arm is quite a bit of work to get off. Not extremely hard, but takes a while. I used a big press to push them out. Might be able to use a ball joint tool but its gonna make you day a few cuss works along the way lmfao

I haven't checked for tearing but the car feels a little uneasy at high speeds. I figured with 160k miles on it they are probably toast. I was looking for a full aftermarket arm that I could swap in but they are hard to find.

I'd look at them before buying parts. I have never seen any aftermarket lower control arms. You could buy new ones from the dealer or new bushings. Its up to you. If you could i would buy aftermarket compliance bushings if they sell them. Never seen em tho. Sway bar bushings and links good? Any clunking?

Heeltoe makes aftermarket bushings but I don't think they are what I'm wanting

I was checking this thread on how to make your own press essentially
https://acurazine.com/forums/14334091-post/
I think you can press them out without completely removing them.

I was looking at those also on heeltoe to help my front end be planted...Now when you say it is uneasy at high speeds we talking about death wobble or not planted...Might not be your control arm...I replaced mine due to hitting a curb and it was torn. Wasn't too bad. Most Honda/Acura places have the press tool for it already. I had to rig something up with my buddies press kit. Took a while but once you get them out they are not too bad. Going in is 10x easier.

The only thing that I would worry about when running those is they will shear when in an accident or impacted hard. Not knocking them but that is my only worry. I tried to find more threads on it but didn't see anyone buying them. I think the compliance bushings only cost me like 70 bucks if that for both on acuraoemparts. Also they will probably make a little more noise so keep that in mind.

The car just feels uneasy over bumps. The car has a-spec springs with Koni Yellows and a progress rear sway. If I do the bushings I will stick with OEM. The car has 160k miles on it so I thought they might tighten it up a little.

Whats up T? I will do that. Lotus is in storage right now but as soon as it starts to cool up Ill be heading back out to the track. In fact, I just went and visited the car and started it up yesterday.
We still do the Londoner. Every tuesday. Lately guys have had other things going on so Im not sure about tonight. Ill PM you now.
The latest tune I have on the GTI now made it terrifying. It usually just goes ape shit on full boost until 4th gear. Then I can really make it pull.
