Anyone have gray interior with black floor mats (all weather or carpet)? I am looking to replace my carpet gray mats with something and was wondering if black mats would accentuate the interior rather than be too much.

If I go it'll be Sunday morning with my co worker. If he can't go I might not go. Or I might go. Or I might not.

Second Question:

Who is going to the St Patrick's day parade on Greenville tomorrow? I will for sure be there.

Passing on it this year; it just hasn't been worth the money to me over the past couple years.

The only thing there that interests me is the new Viper & my work's display.

That new Viper is sick looking. NASCAR has been using it as a pace car this year. I like way more than the new Vette and that is who they originally copied back in the day!!

Won't be going to the Auto Show either since I stopped going several years ago. Too much money for too many people getting in your way to see the cars you want to see. Id rather wait until I see them on the street or places like C and C.

I live within walking distance of the parade, so that will take care of the traffic. I've never been before, and probably won't stay that long. I like laughing at drunk people.

I'm hitting up a double birthday party on the 20th. If I've recovered by the morning, I should be in for that.

A "constipatible" gave me ticket for no front plate!!! I don't know what y'all think about Goodson Acura, but they treat me like a queen....they're giving me a front plate bracket () for free.....

Then, I got to go in the garage and ogle at an older NSX getting new headers.....

Dude im NEVER running a front plate! Window it is, plus I "heard" that it used to be a law but didnt pass last time in court so it isnt necessary anymore... thats what I "heard" but im not sure... Put it on, take it in and get your ticket dismissed, then put your plate in the window!

BTW i just had $5000 in work done at Goodson Acura. Im a mechanic at Sewell Cadillac down the street, and when i bought my car last Oct I bought it here with a $1500 A.M. warranty. THANKS GOD! So i diagnosed it and took it in, told them what it needed, all of it was covered but they were not 100% Perfect, I told them my trans mount was broken, they SWORE it wasnt, so I left and came back a few days later when i could. Then i showed them, so they PAID for it!
-Rear main seal/oil pan
-Steering gear
-Power steering pump
-Oil pump
-Both mirror motor actuators
-Both hood supports
-Transmission upper mount

All covered under WARRANTY! Yeeeeeeeah!

Not 100% impressed with them but they took care of the issue's i had with the mount, they left my car extremely dirty and fingerprints all over!

Despite wanting to throw up every time I look at the front of my car, the dealership also did an inspection....

  • Water pump is leaking BAD;
  • Need to reseal oil pump;
  • Rear main seal is leaking;
  • P/S pump and reservoir are leaking;
  • Rear motor mount cracked;
  • BOTH tranny mounts are broken;
  • Rear brakes (pads) need replacing (which I knew already)...
Then, of course, my car starts overheating.....
My car's been given a death sentence; I'm depressed and feel beaten down.....

I can do the P/S and brakes, but I don't know if I can manage the water pump (and might as well the timing belt since it's right there), mounts, and especially the rear main seal!!!!

All these issues are not too hard to fix, just time consuming. Water pump and timing belt is about a 4-6 hour job. If you buy all the parts you need, we can help. Now the overheating issue, narrow that down a bit and find out exactly what is wrong first. My buddy is an ASE certified mechanic and is always happy to work for cash and beer.

Will need to check my schedule when the date is closer, KC is about a 550 mile drive from DFW. Not sure if I want to drive the Legend that far either, but we will see.

AWESOME! I think the water pump is the source of the overheating...I have noticed that I've been smelling, on occasion, antifreeze AND that my car has been running it's fans more often lately....but I didn't put the two together like a 'tard...

I also have two friends who are ASE-certified and worked at the Toyota dealership before they got frustrated and quit....

Isn't Nelson ASE-certified too?!

I'm totally willing to help myself, but I don't have the tools (impact wrenches or tranny jack)...plus, it'd take me significantly more time than an experienced mechanic...
