someone recommend me a body shop in the Dallas, Addison, Carrollton area. I want to get my rear bumper repainted to match when Aspec kit is installed.

Been running now for ~6 months with a slight wobble under acceleration around 50-65mph, seems to be more on the pax side. Also have the 'click' sound coming out of my left side more now. after ~176k miles, lots of spirited driving as some of you know me, I think they held up nicely.
Took the car in today to install the parts. the charge for installing the half-shafts is $112.50 per side. after hearing what E$ went through on his DIY I think this is worth it.

installed. apparently they discovered the pax side ball joint has some play in it. and there are lower control arm bushings known as 'compliance' bushings that I needed to replace. when i ordered the control arm bushings those were the uppers. i had a little conversation with them about how that got mixed up. But because they were replacing the upper they discovered the ball joint issue so maybe some good came out of that.

the car feels tight again with the new half shafts and upper control arms replaced. I'll wait a few months to do the ball joints and 'compliance' bushings.

Have some Parts for sale in the black market if anyone is interested.

https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/3g-rear-parts-sale-855027/

Also, I have 3G taillights that I would like to get rid of. Prices are negotiable. Just trying to make some room.

When i got just a single key made at the Dealer, they charged about 120 for the key. but said any extra keys would be about 60 each. not sure what a remote costs. Gooduck!

maybe see about getting a switchblade?

I'm thinking of going to a Firestone to get their lifetime alignments. Does anyone have any experience with Firestone? Or can anyone suggest another place with lifetime alignments? I would preferably like some place within about 20 min of my apartment which is on 75 a few miles north of downtown.

For a car that isnt modified, not a problem. If you have coilovers you may have to find one who has a tech that has experience. I had to go to entirely different shop when I had my coilovers on my civic because no one around where I live would touch it. I ended up going to Kauffman Tire, which I do not think exists in Texas anymore.

Yeah, I just put my coilovers on. I guess I'll need to call around and ask these places about their experience with modded cars.

They arent bad...experience is one thing...finding an in ground lift is another. If your lowered i dont like the normal ones they have the above ground. Most of the newer stores have an in ground available.

Not sure about Firestone, but I have a 3 year alignment plan with NTB tire and it's been worth it. Just got the '12 TSX a few weeks ago, so I haven't had to use the alignment (and hopefully won't have to for a very long time!) but they give you the one-time option (free of charge) to transfer coverage to another vehicle, which comes in very handy considering my recent purchase of the TSX

I paid $129.99 (may have bought it on special), and I recommend going to the shop sorta near the 75 & Caruth exit...ask for Jason--he specializes in alignments, has been there for over 20 years, is **patient**, and is one of the few techs who can actually get the steering wheel to be perfectly centered when the car is aligned.

hope this helps!

I saw that NTB on google but it had so many bad reviews that I thought it was a lost cause. I'll have to give them a call and see if they'll do my car since its lowered since that's such a convenient location for me.

Guys, I am considering going to that Cup Cake Meet up there on July 21st. Anyone going from here? Now that I have a new TL, I plan to make the drive and see some old friends too. Maybe Ethan and others? If anyone knows where this meet is, got a recommendation of a hotel or a place to stay one night?

<---Will be going.

The meet is at 2915 Alouette Dr, Grand Prairie, TX 75052, which is the Lincoln Technical Institute. I'm not too familiar with that area though, so I don't know the best places to stay.

But as I start to let up on pressure (to hold the trunk lid down) it will release before I completely let off.

Some there must be something within the catch mechanism that is "weak" or something, and it can't hold it in a closed position.

Note, this has nothing to do with the electronics or otherwise. I've tried all the function with it off and disconnected. I manually place it in the closed position, and then I insert a screw driver and start to apply pressure simulating a force to pull it down and pop, it doesn't take much force to cause it to release.

Since there's nothing I can see that can be replaced, I'm assuming a replacement of the latch assembly is the only option.

Yes, one of the weirdest problem I've encountered to date.

This just happened to me! Trunk would not shut, took a look at the latch assembly and it started to rain parts out of it. somehow the plastic in it gave out and the spring inside it finished it off. ugh

I have no idea how you guys got your key cut so easy. I'm running into dead end after dead end. You had a 2004-2006 Acura TL with the regular key? And got it cut to a 2007 Switchblade key? Did you order just a stock switchblade key or a pre-milled one?? Thanks in advance
