Hey guys, I need a favor from one of y'all.

I bought a set of coilovers, but I didn't get the wrenches with them. Anyone in the area have a pair I can borrow for a couple of weeks so I can adjust them to a height I'm happy with? They're Tanabe coilovers, but I think just about any spanner wrench should fit it.

Just don't want to end up ordering a universal one yet only to find out they don't fit or something.

Thanks!

Wrong most manufacturers have a specific set. You might have to use a combination. I know for sure Tein does not work on Tanabe or Megan. Megan you might be able to use one. Its been a while since i have messed with it but if your just loosening the collar use a flathead and a hammer works the same for the most part

I have Megan coilovers. Keller is pretty far from me though. But you are welcome to come over and see if mine work. I am near SMU.

Even though the ad states he has a whole set of them and they are wrapped in Falken 235/35zr19 instead of 245/35zr19 I'd still check it out. 19" black ron jon legends for sale on craigslist is pretty rare. And if you contact the poster he might say something like 'I already sold 2 wheels so I only have 2 left .. oh and they are actually 245/35zr19'.

It had too many similarities for me to overlook it. Worth a shot.

Edit: I sent him an email using my 2nd email account I never use asking him about the wheels. We'll see what he says...
Did he ever reply? And if so, what's his email?

In his initial ad he said they were black wheels and he didn't post a picture.

I emailed him and asked random questions about the wheels and tires etc.

The next day the same ad was edited and he said the wheel color was silver and posted a pic of a CL with silver wheels.

No email reply back

And now the ad is deleted

new to dallas. got a speeding ticket this weekend. not sure how Dallas works but they gave me this brochure with different options. I'm always used to going to court and fighting it to see if cop shows up or they reduce it. there was an option for deferred disposition to plea guilty or no contest and get a probation period. if you do not get another violation during that 180 days you get no points. there was another option for taking a safety driving course but I don't have my texas license yet so that's not valid for me. any suggestions?

Welcome

I would always do the defensive driving test as my first option because IIRC, you gotta pay for the court/city administrative fees but not the cost of the ticket, then $25 for the online test which you can do anytime and it doesn't go on your record.

Since you can't do that, I'd probably do deferred adjudication where you pay the fees and ticket but if you don't get a ticket within the 180 days it doesn't go on your record.

I'm going to go to the license center and apply for my Texas DL. As long as you have been living in Texas for 30 days and show 2 proofs of residency I can get one. From what others told me the defensive driving course is the best way to go. they have online ones too.

I think Blockbuster offers a Defensive Driving course that the State may take. Dont know for sure but I have seen the DVDs in the shelves near the new releases.

Thanks for the offer. I bought an oil filter wrench/plier, hoping it works. If not, screwdriver/hammer should suffice. If the above fail, I'll borrow those wrenches from you... Just waiting for a weekend with some half-way decent weather (it may be awhile)...

If anyone is interested, "BACON" is now available as a vanity plate in Texas. It was one of my top choices but it was taken at the time I got mine. If mine expired now I would jump on it.

Wow! Just read your story! Its unfortunate that the police weren't able to assist you much, but im sure they see hundredss of cases like this and probably dont have the resources to through at them. Heck of a detective job that you did! Glad to hear the wheels are back!

Great story, Tannn. That's mighty impressive detective work. It figures that they would be Azn who stole ur rims in FW. I would of just filed an insurance claim. But good job, if my rims end up missing I'll hire you, LOL.

Hey, since he was asian, was his ex GF asian too? Is she HOT? Bahaha...I'm kidding.

Tann - you are my new hero. I just read that whole story about "erick" and now I wanna go bust some heads lol.

Anyways, a couple of speakers are busted in my tL from just playing them too loud and the noise is finally getting to me. Can anyone recommend a trusty audio shop in dfw? I want to replace all of the speakers in my car anyway I was jw. Thanks
