Moving to the Fort Worth North area from California. Anything I should know? Will be renting a place right next to DFW airport for about 6 months in Euless 'till I found the right house to buy.

^ That is a good spot IMO. Do you know where in Euless? I'm guessing it would be near Hwy 360. I currently live in Bedford which is a few miles from there. I personally like the area because it is pretty much right in the middle of Dallas and Ft. Worth and Arlington. The only not great thing is the fact that there is a bunch of freeway construction going on, but then again that goes for all of DFW.

All dealers will charge you an arm and a leg to cut and program the switchblade. I doubt you will find it less than $100 at a dealer.

I'm thinking about selling my wheels. Anyone interested? 19x8.5 front and 19.9x5 rear +15offset. The front two tires are new and rear needs to be replaced. The two front wheels have dents in them, but the rear two are in good condition. I might be looking to trade or sell, which ever. Shoot me a text at 815.980.1942 BBS LM's I live in Addison, so feel free to drop by or meet up.

Welcome!

Not sure what your budget is, but you might want to look at Keller, Roanoke, North North Richland Hills and North Euless for new homes. If you want an older home, North Bedford, North Euless, Grapevine/Colleyville areas would be the best.

(I grew up in Bedford, lived there 25 years, work in Euless and live in North Fort Worth) Im a little biased

I went to A1 locksmiths to have the immobilizer switched over. The programming can be done by yourself. The cutting I had done by Marcus from heel toe auto, which is the place I ordered the key from. It is pre-milled correct?

We are looking to buy in the $350-$450K price range. Keller, NRH, Colleyville, Hurst, and Flower Mound are the cities we have been researching. My wife wants to live in Keller. I'm becoming more and more interested in moving West out by Eagle Mountain, South Lake, and Lake Worth. Can you tell me about those areas out West? I'm sure the commute would be horrendous but for the same amount of cash you can get some land with your new home. Trophy Club seems really nice BUT I think all the homes there are HOA's and you get about .17 acres. I would LIKE to own property around 1.25 acres.

I ordered my half shafts for both sides yesterday, along with control arm knuckles (bushings) for both sides. Got 'em through Tim at www.oemacuraparts.com Should get them next week. Then I'll schedule to have them installed in the next couple weeks.

Been running now for ~6 months with a slight wobble under acceleration around 50-65mph, seems to be more on the pax side. Also have the 'click' sound coming out of my left side more now. after ~176k miles, lots of spirited driving as some of you know me, I think they held up nicely.

If you want land in those cities you will need to probably buy an older home that has been placed on land already. If you want a new home with land then you will probably need to move North outside Denton area, West out towards Haslet, Newark. Homes in the DFW meteroplex that are new in your price range come with more house than land.

Marshall Ridge in Keller is a nice community, but again more house than land. Marshall Creek is another in Roanoke. Really with that price range you have a nice selection of homes to look at and communities to choose from.

I highley suggest an HOA around here. IMHO HOAs are what keep neighborhoods nice and they hold their value better.

Thanks!! I really appreciate it. I took it to a Locksmith and they looked at my crazy. I will try them this week. Am I missing something though? I thought the programming steps were on here somewhere. Why did you pay $100?

I don't think it's pre-milled.. I probably should have researched this more before I jumped into it. The key is just blank. I went to A1 Locksmiths also and they said that the 2 keys were different types so they couldn't cut it. I just ordered a stock 07 key replacement

There is a thickness difference between milled and non milled. Most places won't mill it for you just cut it. My advice would be to buy it from heeltoe auto and send them a spare for them to do everything for you. It's the cheapest and easiest way.
