I have a lowering question.

I am leaning toward Koni yellows w/ Eibach springs because of the adjustable ride hight and adjustable dampening. I know this would be all I need. My problem is my Mom barrows my car like once a month because her car is a POS. With this monthly problem i was thinking of getting TIEN SS w/ EDFC so I can control my dampening from with in the car with just the touch of a button.

My question is: If I got the TIEN SS would I have to get a camber kit as well as all new top hats or can I use the top hats I have now and will an alignment be suffice for now until I can purchase a camber kit in the near future?

The reason I ask is because I found this thread about camber.
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-tires-wheels-suspension-97/do-i-need-camber-kit-606757/

It seems as if I can get away with out a camber kit for now with the prospect of getting one in the future, but I thought I would still ask to see what you guys think or what you have done yourself.

You'll need to get a camber kit....it will not be good with just an alignment.

To be honest...I dont think you will see much difference adjusting dampening.
Its going to be a rough ride no matter what you do. The TL was meant for a smooth
ride so the moment you put suspension on it you change that dynamic.

Ive adjusted my Koni yellows full one way and full the other and didnt see much of a difference. Now dont get me wrong....the EDFC feature is cool but I dont think you'll see much of a difference. Especially if you put bigger wheels on the car.

As far as top hats go, I have no idea. I cant remember if I used my stock ones....I dont think I did.....let me pull up some photos

The reason that you'll need a camber kit is because you cant adjust the camber on the rear of the car. Honda's inherently have negative camber already, so when you lower it, it gets more negative....

So when you take it in for an alignment they cant adjust it.....so you're stuck with what you have....if you're going to do suspension do a camber kit as well......

Well the front usually stays decent. Usually toe is your main wear killer. The rears I would recommend the Ingalls kit. It will get you to where you need. It adjusts both the camber and toe which is useful since the factory rear setup isnt all that great. I love my setup. The fronts you can get a kit but depending on how low you are sometimes you can get away with it. The dampening is usually noticeable but you have to go in pretty big increments especially with these 32 way craps nowadays I like how the koni just has 3 or 4 dampening adjustments which is honestly as much as you need. Your spring pre load will also determine how rough the car will ride. I have my rears set up to a pretty high preload to help the car rotate. Its not the best ride but it works.

Got my TEIN SS installed today. Pretty satisfied. I will play with the adjustment a little more to see if I can go lower and it still be a reliable daily driver.
