Well, started on my 105k service on Monday in my tech class because there would have been nothing else to do. Unfortunately I only have about an 1 hour and a half of actual working time a day and I had to do nothing one day waiting for that 50mm crankshaft tool to come in, so the car's still in the shop. Hope to finish it all up monday.

My tip to you....take off the crank pulley hit it on and set it in time. Saves you headaches later on. make sure it is on top dead. You will need to remove the upper cover to get it in time.
So umm londoner tonight i be back in town yo

Not really a club, just a group of enthusiasts. There's no sort of requirement to join, either. Just come out to the meets when we post 'em up. Normally meet at the Londoner in Addison on Saturday evenings, but we do put together other meets every so often.

Ahh I see I could probally make it there I have a 01 CL-S want to see other ppl that have a intrest in acuras
#6850
What time do ya'll usually meet up? Is this every Saturday?
#6851
We meet up anywhere from 7-7:30 usually. We'll have to start posting it up more here to give you guys a couple days notice. NAiL, Trance, & myself are usually there with occasional appearances by imj & other members.

Always wanted to go and try the Londoner. We will see how I feel after my car show this Saturday about coming out and meeting ya'll.

Anyone interested in attending a meet in Houston? https://acurazine.com/forums/texas-319/tri-city-meet-%2Ahouston-tx%2A-%7Bsaturday-12-03-11%7D-837738/
no body even responded to this?

We are the furthest members from those cities & I believe we made it clear most of us would not be able to attend a GTG this year, so the Big As Texas meet was pushed to the Spring.
Thus, you guys went ahead with another Tri-City meet in its place. Not sure why you would expect any of us to reply unless you were expecting a bunch of "No's".
I will already be down there for Cupcake Meet this Saturday; I can not afford to make another trip down there.

Anyone wanna give me their opinion on getting an 08/09 STI? I was talking with my mom and since I'm more than likely definitely going to KU (univ of kansas) and she was going on and on about how she would want me to have an AWD. This is just a feeler, I haven't really looked into anything yet, but just wanted to know what you guys thought.

Hi Everyone! I am somewhat new to the forum here and glad to see that there is a DFW group. I would love to come out to some of the meet ups. I didn't read all 172 pages of this thread but from the last few pages it looks like Addison is a popular spot to meet. Can anyone tell me if there are ever any meet ups on the Tarrant County side of the metroplex? You know how us Ft. Worth people feel about getting to close to Dallas LOL.

Just a few of the CCM photos I'm going to share online. It was a good turnout, but I was disappointed in the quality of the cars as well as the general attitude of the people there & their complete disregard for safety. I had not once saw such a high police presence at a CCM meet & when I left to see 4 people pulled over on the road for speeding/burning out/etc., it was pretty clear to me that if I do ever drive down south for a CCM meet, it will be more than just the meet itself. There was a drifting issue that had me very concerned as well.
The rollout & drive back were definitely fun, though.

Nokiafan.
Yea most meets are in the Addison area because the majority of the members here live in the north Dallas area.
Although there are a few that live in Tarrant County, such as myself. We kinda planned on a meet in Grapevine or Southlake a while back but I guess that fell through the cracks.
Where do you live?

The part about safety and the people getting pulled over, you can't say it was CCMs fault. There's always gonna be some numb nut who thinks he's cool or tries to show off by burning out (like the white mustang) or racing out the lot. You can make rules all you want, but there's always gonna be someone breaking it.
I do agree about the drifting part. It was entertaining to watch, but at the same time I kept on constantly thinking "what if someone loses control and slams into the crowd?" There wasn't anything for the crowd to stand behind, and people were literally 15-20 feet away from the cars as they were drifting.
All in all, I believe it was a good turn out. Police were probably supposed to be out there to make sure nothing gets out of hand, and if it did, they would be able to respond asap.

I went to the CCM meet about 2 years ago in here in Dallas. I got the impression that bringing a Lotus was the wrong idea. I wouldve got much better feedback if I just brought my TL.
What really pissed me off were the comments people were making when I was driving out with my daughter. Turned me off enough that Ill never make one again.
