^^^^What they all said.... I hate tire stretch... non-practical and serves no purpose. Needs 20mm more tire by the looks of it. I do however respect the right for peoples own taste in what they do to their own car.

Minor stretching amazingly does benefit vehicles in some ways on the track...but not so much for the hella flush people. The only worry I have with stretches like that is hitting a corner/pothole and immediately losing air pressure and damaging the rim but each person their own taste. I am used to mo tire mo betta lol.

TLDude is running 235/35/18 on 8.75 wide XXR 530 on his last setup that I was gonna buy from him. Slight stretch but dam it looked good aligned. Im getting NASTY camber wear on mine since I dropped it. Work is slow so no money for camber kits. I cant fit my car on our alignment racks at work... Im sure as hell not letting someone else align my shit. LOL I know what ppl do, "Oh its close, fuck it" Yeah right, not paying for that. Happens all the time at my dealership and im like "Paid for an alignment, this is gonna be dam close to perfect as I can get it"

^ not anymore but yea. Having been through many setups I have figured this whole lowering/camber game a little. I am now running 10.5 +30 in the rear, I'm low enough to where I'm tucking just the top of the tire and I am running -2 camber. Too much stretch going on there with those XXR's

The XXR's were a 18 x 8.75+20 or +35? Ive never actually bought a set of wheels for a car yet that are "flush" and fitment is key on the TL at this point. I will need tires soon so im prob going to get wheels too if i can squeeze it out of the bank account while im at it. I really wanted your old set but cash has been tight lately unfortunately. I see you got some vossen wheels right now right? What tire size you running on that? 18's? Do you still have your old set?

Is anyone willing to drop by Mac Churchill Acura and look at a high mileage RDX for me?

It's the 2007 RDX 120k miles

I need to know if it drives good and so fourth. It is one owner, and maintained only at an Acura dealership.

Yea I think pmptx is closest. Bout 13 miles from me but the killer thing is all the shit construction traffic they are doing on that route. Hmmm.

I do try to get an RDX if I ever need a loaner from the dealership. Love the pick on that little thing.

Well guys I would like to say I added yet another 2g TL to my garage.Yesterday a friends dad told me he wanted to sale his 99 for $1500. I looked over the car and seen it has clear coat issues and a locked up ac compressor. So I offered him $800 for the car and he took it. Picking the car up after work today. Not sure if Im going to give it to a family member or keep it just yet. But i will say Im not disappointed in it. Drives smooth, tranny shifts smooth, and everything works.

If anyone is interested, my GM club will be attending Test 'N Tune on September 20th at Dallas Raceway in Crandall. Gates open at 7PM and close at midnight.

Also, September 15th is when Alliance in Addison is going down. Hope to see some of you out there.

I'm having tranny issues, whenever I put her in reverse and it doesnt connect right away it shots (jumps) back. I just did the 3on3 tranmission flued change and there is no change. She is a 2004 TL with 150k miles. Is it time to upgrade to a high rpm tranny or do I have it rebuilt?

I was told the filters were inside the transmission, which would be part of the rebuild. which is it$1500 - $2200 @ I-35 Transmissions in Lancaster.
I didn't change the switches, could that be the issue?

2004-2006 have external transmission filters. 2007-2008 are integrated inside the transmission

Are you sure there aren't two filters? Mine has one inside that you can't change unless you take your tranny apart, and there's one "filter" externally that just catches (by magnet I think) metal debris....

That sounds WAY cheaper than my rebuild, by the way....

Dallas meet? I'm down like a pair of panties on prom night...

Down for test n tune. Our Tl's have an external filter. I think it was Eviljoker that showed me it at the last meet. It just bolts right in.

The 2004-2006 have an external filter that is serviceable(acura dealer will deny it tho) 2008-2008 the filter is inside. The pressure switches can cause all kinds of issues. If the transmission thinks it has certain pressure on a certain clutch pack then it will not operate the solenoid in the valve body to send more pressure- make sense? I would replace them and the filter and go from there, I can help you if you need. I will find you the thread on pressure switches, filter and there is also another guy here in Dallas that bought 2004-2006 pressure switches that has a 2007 so he is selling them on craigslist and the Black market.

I concur. You damn slackers. Lol. I am in Arlington today and tomorrow for the Rangers game. I will be back down hopefully on the 15th for that Alliance blah blah thing. Still working on getting a group together in OK, so I don't have to drive so far for meets.

Anyone know the status on the front plate bill? I heard it failed and that today is the first day we're required to have a front plate.
