TEXAS PSYCO
OK!!! so im tring to find a good place for the legend meet on sunday the 25th. The dealership would have been a great option but im thinking thats not gonna come through. The way its gone for us in the past is have everyone meet up at a easy location to get to off any major highway for the out of towners. Usually that spot would be a large landmark with a big parking lot i.e. Coyboys stadium, AA center, Ballpark in arlington whch is also a good spot for pics. Then a caravan to grab lunch and visit some more. And then head our seperate ways or take another drive to scenic spot. We should have all this figured out by this next week so everone can plan. Would love to have you guys out. I also understand that people go to church so im guessing some of you wouldnt be able to meet up till afer noon. Let me know if any of you have any good input.

So I got a phone call today from McDavid telling me they're now interested in buying the TL off me. I know what they really want is a trade in towards something else, but I may go just to humor them as I'm not taking anything less than $25,000 for this car.

Another mod done tonight...installed the isimple unit. Very happy with it, and glad I successfully took apart the center console and put it back together perfectly.

I can do it if I get another weekend off, but it will be tough for me as I'm already requesting November 12th-14th for CCM.

the first set I got from JNC sucked fucking ass. filled with water after the first car wash. Then his method of taking care of me also sucked fucking ass.
But I did manage to get another set from him and these are holding up well.
Needless to say I will never throw any business his way.

Thats a horrible idea...for more than one reason.
If you bake them properly at 200 degrees, that really isnt hot enough to damage anything. You could leave them in there all day if you wanted, and nothing would be wrong with them when you took them out.
A heat gun will pretty much instantly either bend something or melt through the plastic lens.
Why would you "rush" a job that could potentially ruin your headlight housings. Those things arent cheap. For my MAZDA one headlight is almost $800, its probably around the same for an Acura.

But, that's an if. I was actually thinking of creating a thread last week seeing if anyone wanted the OEM J-Pipe or exhaust just to finally get the exhaust off my patio. Someone would have to pick it up though b/c I'm not chopping it up.

Should be fine on the rack.
If done it 3 times...twice on the CL, once on the MX5. Its really not hard at all. In fact, you'll probably need to re-insert them in a few times to get all of the glue to release.
theretrofitsource.com sells some double-sided epoxy for the reseal that does an excellent job. Shoot me a pm if you decide to give it a go. I'm planning on doing some retrofitting in the headlights of my car soon, and you are more than welcome to sit and watch...or help.
Seriously, you'll laugh at how easy it is!
