Hey everyone I've been reading the last few pages of this thread to get caught up. I moved to the DFW area a few months back and currently drive an 04 TL.

I was curious if anyone knew of any places (outside of a dealer) in north Dallas, specifically Addison/Plano/Frisco where I could go too and have them look at some cosmetic issues.

I have one nasty scratch that took the paint off on the rear driver side door which is accompanied by a larger scratch that did not take paint off. It's affecting close to a quarter of the door and it's driving me absolutely insane to look at it (which is every time I get in or out of my car).

Also, since this is my first post, I felt I should say I did attempt to use the search feature but was unable to find what I was looking for.

Thanks in advance.

Top end pull is definitely better...however it feels like there is an exhaust leak. Unfortunately i had to order the 50 dollar gasket kit from rv6 but other than that definitely satisfied...prob will get my roomie to srive it so i can hear it...it might have a bit of rasp now but i think thats the exhaust leak. Tone is higher pitched but what gets me is that it is still as quiet as the stock jpipe whic is awesome.

The J-Pipe isn't really going to change any sound. It should give it a bit of a deeper tone, but nothing that you could actually hear unless you're really listening for it. And since you have an aftermarket exhaust, that makes it a bit more difficult to hear any changes from J-Pipe because the exhaust usually drowns it out.

Or at least, my ATLP did has soon as it was installed.

Thanks to dtownhakuzo, I now have a sick set of headlights. He also took the time to install them for me since I've never pulled the front bumper off. Great seller. Too bad he's moving on from the TL. Thanks again!

This all depends. Idle you wont notice much its when you open it up. I definitely noticed a higher pitch instead of the low tone my exhaust used to have. The noise is definitely noticeable but then mine comes with a cat delete and i had a cat on there previously so thats a big one. So all I have now is the mid muffler and two cats

Driving west up Watauga Rd (aka Western Center, Mid Cities blvd) around 1030 this evening. A black 3G TL on my left which sounded like the mid muffler had been removed, and yellow fogs. Was really tempted (he was too) to go for a little race since the street was practically deserted...

But decided not to.

Cop tagged us with laser just a little further up the road.

Was doing the speed limit.

Winner.

Go check out New Concepts Autoworks in Plano there address is 6800 Avenue K Plano,Tx 75074. The owners name is Tommy. They do excellent work but are pricey. They've done work on my TL, my wife's Element and my previous car. I wont go anywhere else for body work

I vaguely recall the owners giving us those titles, but can't remember the reason.

Hope all is well with you. You still in the same place?

I totaled my CL-S a couple days before xmas. Since no cars out there really excite me, I'm looking for a CL-S 6 speed.

Trying to see if distortedoldskool wants to sell his ride.

Really sorry to hear that. So it seems you are ok.

How bad was the CL messed up? Did you mess up any of those really nice wheels?

The wheels are fine, but since I sold the stock rims, I can't swap them out with something else. So they are staying on the car.

He said he took it back to stock except for the audio. Haven't heard what his asking price is though.

I live in austin and have been part of the Acura family for a long time, I am thinking of purchasing a car this Saturday and need members advice on where i can get a good Prepurchase inspection for the money. I am not keen on taking it to the dealership in Irvine area. Since i dont live in dallas i need a shop that will be open on saturday around Irvine area if possible to shorten my turnaround time of purchasing a used 3g 05 TL. My concern is to ensure checking subframe damage if possible as part of this inspection.

I was going to buy my engine mounts and figure out later on getting them installed. I saw that XLR8 is selling Innovative Mounts for ~$330. Anyone here have an opinion on those or should I just order OEM mounts? Not looking for any thing "performance" but quality is probably key.

i think that the roads around dallas in the last couple years have really been the key to mine wearing out. although I have 170k miles on them so maybe not bad considering.

Mark, what kinds of noises are you hearing?
Or are you just thinking you need to change them for the miles you have on the car.

I got some old Prelude wheels you can use if that helps you out. I think they'll fit.

It's definitely a thunk sound coming from the front and pax side when i hit a bump in the road a certain way. i'm 95% certain it's one of the mounts, probably the side mount i'm guessing.
