Not sure if this is listed in any of the iphone threads. Wanted to worn people that they should not update their iPhone 4s or I believe 5 with iOS 6.0.1 or 6.1.1

The battery will drain in hours. Reading online this is pretty wide spread. I had another issue with my phone's sound not working which was ultimately fixed by cleaning the charging connector (weird). I think it has to do with thinking it is docked. Anyway, I updated the iOS during my troubleshooting and the battery has been garbage since. All research I have done has come up with zero fixes, other then waiting for Apple to release yet another update to fix this. The largest complaint after 6.0.1 was the battery issue, and it was actually made worse in 6.1.1. Here are two screen shots to show how quickly the battery drains:





This was with zero use. I had the phone set down on the table during dinner. The phone was on a charger until about 2:00 pm and had a full charge when I took it off.

Only if it had been previously jailbroken and he saved his SHSH blobs.

 

In other words, no.

 

Only had one phone conversation today about about 5 minutes. Otherwise it has had no use. No apps running.

 

Thanks for heads up. I have 6.0.1 and did not install 6.1.1. I noticed weaker battery after 6.0.1 update but not as severe as yours.

 

They are working on it. It's known. Just with the 4s
