Damn it! Has this ever happen to anyone else? You take a picture, and it doesn't save On 3 occasions I had ONE chance to snap a quick pic and did so, except it wasn't saved. I just saw a white Hyundai Equus (with a manufacturer's plate/Michigan) And that thing was gorgeous! I honestly think some Hyundai bigwigs live in my area, it's always around here when I get my first sightings of Hyundai up and coming cars. Sorry for the OT
havent come across it YET on the 4, but ive gotten it a few times on the 3GS.
also times where the camera just wont even load.

A lot of iPhone 3G owners—myself included—have discovered that upgrading to iOS 4 has slowed their devices to a crawl. If you decide the new features and shortcuts just aren't worth the glacial performance, here's how to downgrade your iDevice.

While trying to find a way to disable multitasking, I found a tutorial on how to disable it thru the jailbreak process in redsn0w but it wasn't an option on pwnagetool afaik.

yes it probably does effect the 3GS users, but from what i experienced , there wasnt a slow down at all.
it actually sped up in certain cases.
remember the processor and ram are faster/more in the 3GS compared to the 3G.

is it possible to change the way the other multi tasker activates?
plus you'd be losing your audio control and screen orientation lock.

Just a week after Apple started shipping iPhone 4 to customers, Dev Team hacker Planetbeing and iPhone developer chpwn managed to jailbreak it. This was made possible with the code from previously announced Spirit jailbreak for iPad by Comex. However, there's no word on when an easy-to-use jailbreak tool would be made available to users.

Anyone else experiencing this? My phone keeps switching to speaker phone while I'm in the middle of a conversation. I think the proximity sensor is hyper-sensitive cause if a move the phone just the slightest bit -I mean I'm not even removing the phone from the side of my head- the screen turns on and the side of my head hits the speakerphone button everytime.

hm... while i can see why you would want to use the jailbreakmulti tasker, but IMO as apps are updated, you wont need to use the jail break one as much.

I had to delete Kirikae and kept Backgrounder. It takes a few extra button presses with Backgrounder but IMO it's better than the multitasking on iOS4.

That's the thing with jailbreaking, unless you start off from a fresh restore, as soon as you sync back your old info, whatever settings were changed while jailbroken will get synced back to the phone.

I did change the way Kirikae activates but everytime I went to activate it, it crashed my springboard and went into safe mode. Was likely a compatibility issue with the new OS.

Things like Aim won't have multi tasking. So I can under stand using a jb multi tasker for it.
But for pandora, the ioS 4 multi tasking gets the job done.
I think you should give it a shot, unless of course the apps you use haven't been updated for it yet.

and i don't know how jailbroken contents get ported to the un-jailbroken one
i can kinda see carrier might not have any end-user restrictions (though we don't have options to change) but other than that, i don't see any more contents that we can sync from jailbroken os to iOS4 un-jailbroekn (atm)

So Apple is probably making their money on the 32GB version and/or kickbacks from ATT.

A breakdown of the components that make up Apple's iPhone 4 has found that the most expensive item in the device is its high-resolution Retina Display, with an estimated price of $28.50.
As first reported by Businessweek, iSuppli's teardown of the iPhone 4 found that the components inside cost an estimated $187.51. Apple's latest phone starts at $199 with 16GB of internal memory and a two-year service contract in the U.S. The cost breakdown applies to the 16GB iPhone 4.
The most expensive component is the highly touted Retina Display found on the iPhone 4. Supplied by LG Display, the component costs $28.50, iSuppli said. The custom-built A4 processor, assembled by Samsung, cost an estimated $10.75.
The newly added gyroscope in the iPhone 4 was said to cost another $2.60, in addition to the 65-cent accelerometer found in the current phone as well as previous models. The new gyroscope is made by STMicroelectronics of Geneva.
Other suppliers of the internal hardware include touch-sensitive panels from Wintek and TPK, and chips from Skyworks Solutions and TriQuint Semiconductor.
Neither Apple nor its carrier partners would comment on how much is paid by wireless providers for the unsubsidized handset. Historically, the average selling price of previous model iPhones has been around $600.
The total estimated cost is slightly higher than the iPhone 3GS, first released last year. The 2009 handset cost an estimate $179 in parts for Apple.
In fact, the price of Apple's phones has been steadily increasing over the years. In 2008, iSuppli found that the iPhone 3G carried a components cost of $174.33.
