I tried it in the store yesterday and it was pretty cool. There's like a split sec lag but nothing really noticeable.

VGA quality, little to no lag, was pretty cool.

Dumb question -- If I buy the phone at the apple store this weekend, can they activate it and transfer over the number from my blackberry (at&t account of course)? Or do I need to call at&t / go to at&t store to activate?

Apple store will do it, they will even transfer your contacts to the new phone.

I was pretty shocked at how many they had in stock yesterday. hundreds. With that much stock...its a wonder why they couldn't have had more June 24th online reservations and in store reservations available.

I believe apple.com is set up like past releases to see who has stock of what.....just dont expect to walk in there without a zoo of a line though.

 

There was a least 1k people at the apple store here in Jacksonville yesterday.

 

5k at one mall, 1500 at another here. And there are two more stores in the area, didn't hear any counts from those.

I wish you could check stock without having to go through AT&T's verification servers. I wouldn't mind just picking one up next week instead of waiting.

Anyone else having wifi issues? It seems if I hold it a certain way then wifi just dies on my much like the iPad. I haven't figured out the exact position yet but it happened to me twice last night while holding it sideways to watch a video.

Yeah, on release day of course. They showed pics of the Manhattan stores today and it's much, much less. I'm not expecting an empty store, but I'll give it a shot tomorrow. If there's an hour line, I can wait til next week.

iPhone 4 isn't jailbroken, it's iOS4 on older devices that's jailbroken. Afaik.

 

shouldn't have used the freaking spirit jailbreak on my 3GS.

I had Spirit and moved to OS4, but I had to restore it new.

 

day 1st not issues at all

but what i found out that while i was at app store and holding phone in my left hand and trying to tap the phone with my right hand. i lost signal so i got stuck in app store then put iphone on the table and it was back to normal... i wish it was fine

 

my 3GS is jailbroken and unlocked on iOS4 and is ready for sale

i saw craiglist post for 3GS 16GB for 350 dollars... so i posted mine for 400 obo

 

^^ eBay and craigslist prices dropped drastically in the last few days On the 3GS

 

sorry not my area.. almost all 3GS 16GB is around and above 300
